I really don't know how else to put it. I'm playing on Wild Mode, and it's not really that challenging, but it is engaging, and most of all, it's fun. And there is challenge in completing all the tasks on each level and the side levels where you have to beat the timer. They're so good!
This is a quality game. Super polished, looks great, runs great, it's crazy fun, no MTX or massive patches, it's just a really, really fun game.

Ya, mtx is shorthand for microtransactions.
BTW, even though Kirby games are low difficulty, I feel like Wild Mode at least gives it a tiny bit more bite than it would normally have, and that's just enough to keep it engaging for me. Especially with the side levels. Those things can be extremely tough beating the recommended time.

@JaxonH the side levels are 100% the challenge that people might be looking for. I’ve only finished the first world, but the cone challenge especially felt like a nice difficulty spike compared to the levels.
Overall, I adore it so far. I love the levels. I love Waddle Dee Town. I just want to dive into my tv so badly.

Just read the interview from the developers and I thought it was interesting them discussing the density of enemies in a certain space. Maybe Kirby games could benefit from the difficulty options Doom offers, where the amount of enemies increase as you increase the difficulty.
It's kinda wild that I went from "this game looks promising" to "I guess it's a disappointment after all" to finally "So this game is actually really cool!"
Yeah, I've already started the post-game stuff, and...the bosses are kicking my butt. Even Gorimondo is way tougher now. That "True Arena" or whatever it's gonna be called here is going to be a nightmare. lol
Like I said, the main story mode in any Kirby game will be easy, it's the post-game stuff is where things ramp up in difficulty. Only real disappointment here is that...I wanted to play as Meta Knight. TwT
@Joeynator3000 I'm glad that this game has post-game stuff that's actually challenging. I'm fine with the base game being easy in order to make it more accessible, so having this added challenge for players who are looking for it is really nice.

@StarPoint Yeah, just took out the, erm...second final boss? Whatever, yeah, he kicked my butt.
The tougher versions of the bosses, I mean, you probably still won't die, but they're much harder than the originals. I actually almost died at the end there...and the last arena I can already tell it's going to be a living nightmare. (which is where the true final boss is at...unless things changed here, lol)
Anyways, my reaction to the final fight.
struggles to stay alive during the boss's final phase
"I'm guessing there's more to this, this can't be the final boss."
defeats boss, a little red butterfly flutters in
NOOOOOO!!! Not again!!! T.T
Anyways yeah, still didn't die, but the entire thing was a pain. xD
Just got the game and played through the first world. This game is absolutely excellent! It just makes me feel happy when I play it which is a good thing for sure. It's not a particularly challenging game, but some of the Treasure Runs or whatever they're called are pretty tough. I'm really enjoying it so far and I hope it keeps its steam throughout the whole experience.

Welp, decided to try the final Coliseum cup, on easy mode. Mainly the major bosses were the ones that took a while obviously. Towards the end of course is where things start getting a bit chaotic for me, but yeah...made it to the final battle and...I barely even scratched the thing before it killed me. x_X
I'll finish this eventually, lol.

So, my question with this game has to do with the number of Waddle Dees needed to unlock each of the boss gates in the worlds. Do each of the numbers mean how many of them overall or for each individual world? If it's overall, then I should be fine because I've got almost 80 Waddle Dees atm, but a knowledgeable answer would be greatly appreciated.

Beat the main story last night. The game is just as fun as it looks, with tons of creative environments and wacky abilities, especially for Mouthful Mode. It's also... kind of tough to find all of the Waddle Dees, or at least by Kirby standards. Some of the achievement-esque Waddle Dees can be pretty well hidden, either because you have to find some kind of object that's really small and easy to miss or because the area is just that well hidden. Also the boss achievements can be on the difficult side too, especially the no damage ones (although you'll have an easier time if you pick the right ability). I also like that you can evolve Copy Abilities in this game and I've been wanting to see them revisit the idea of being able to strengthen your Copy Abilities over the course of the game after Squeak Squad introduced Ability Scrolls, but at the same time, this isn't quite what I had in mind. The ability movesets are much more simplified like some of the older Kirby games and evolving them just adds some different effects to your existing attacks instead of adding new moves like the Ability Scrolls. Also some of the evolved abilities end up being a bit too powerful this way and can kill mini-bosses and bosses a bit too quickly and easily.
As for the plot, I do like how they handled Elfilin's identity in this game. I think a lot of us expected him to turn evil and become the final boss and... he kind of was, but not in a predictable way like with Marx and Magolor. Glad they put a twist on this trope and allowed Elfilin to still be our friend once the story was over.
Also
This is so dumb and I am all for this becoming a meme.
Anyways, just woke up...gonna eat and watch some youtube for a bit. Then make an attempt to deal with the final arena challenge. Which isn't even the true final challenge since I'm doing this on easy mode, lol.
...and of course I'm gonna record it. xD
Wish me luck. >.>
