@MrCarlos46 I love both the members of off the hook (maybe because that’s the game I started with all the way back in 2017) and I picked my teams based on the the actual topic, I should do that now but three teams really does create these landslides. I am slightly partial to Marina my queen of order, however I love the synergy of personalities.
@Xenoblade-Fan The only way they could fix this is by going back to 2-team Splatfests in the next game, but that would also require an even number of idols; whether it’s reusing the Squid Sisters or Off the Hook, or having an event amount of idols in a new idol group.
@MrCarlos46 4 idols! Please! I have been begging for this for literally years now! Just split them into 2 teams of 2. Then you can even mix-and-match which characters rep which team. Maybe there could even be a unique way of showing this, EG certain songs only play when C1 and C2 are on a team, or when C2 and C4 are together, etc.
@Dev-N Having 4 idols in a group makes it easy to bring back 2-team Splatfests rather than risk another mess that 3-team Splatfests brought. They can even allow for mix-and-matching to prevent it from being bias towards a certain idol again.
Do you think Nintendo may have Summer Nights in late May instead of the July slot of last year? I was looking back at the Splatoon 1 Splatfests and one of them was Burgers vs. Pizza. Perhaps to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Splatoon, they do Burgers vs. Pizza vs. Hot Dogs which also kind of fits a summer theme.
Hey so I'm a Splatoon veteran. Started with 1, played 2, and played a bit of 3 when it first came out but dropped it quickly, and only now I started getting back into it. Are the Splatfests really rigged?
Not sure about rigged, but a lot of the sweats are on Big Man’s team, and it could be because of the option and what they like doing or to let Big Man retain his winning streak, especially after Shiver won 5 Splatfests in a row.
@Dev-N It appears we’re almost at the end with Summer Nights coming up in a few months. Nintendo has one last chance (assuming there’s no 10th anniversary fest) to give the other sides good teams too rather than just for Big Man.
Hello friends! It’s been about a week and half since I made my decision, and I’m not sure why it took me so long, but I’m here now to announce that due to various factors, I have decided to resign from my position on my current team, to retire from competitive play, and to take an extended break from Splatoon in general.
I’m not sure if or when I’ll return to the scene or the game, but for now, my focus is elsewhere. I wish you all the best of luck with your matches, and if any of you all want to continue to talk outside of this forum, you can add me on discord, @djmhxstgsrcc.
Thank you all for everything over the last 6 months. Good luck, and have fun.
@AccessibleDaydream Take all the time you need! I have been in a similar spot for a bit now. Enjoy your break, and when/if you return, we’ll be waiting!
Next weekend is the last full weekend of May (June 1st is on a Sunday) so it seems there's no May Splatfest considering the latest sneak peek could've started is today.
