Topic: Splatoon 3

Played some rounds of Eggstra Work and got 146 eggs. I played about 4-5 shifts. I don't know if I can care to play it more. It's really annoying to have two slow painting weapons, the Dynamo & S-Blast 92, for 5 whole waves. Well, if Dynamo was the only slow weapon, that would be fine.

@woomynnyes I am playing Dynamo for Eggstra Work. SBlast is so fun, but I am a 4 star Dynamo player, so I’d rather I play it than some GoGetter!
@bingleybongley What is your Sorrella Brella build? I have some Run Speed, Swim Speed, and Special Charge, plus a sub if QSJ.

@CaleBoi25 I run a lot of run speed, swim speed and special charge just like you, but personally, I think 2 subs of QSJ is better (it's effects are so noticable). Since the patch, main ink down isn't as necessary, but I still run 2-3 subs of it, just because you're dead dead if you run out of ink and the weapon still uses a fair amount of it (i don't think the ink consumed by the shield was changed). For any remaining subs, I like some special power up, special loss down or sometimes bomb defense.

@IceDomino If you want a new playthrough of the single player, use a different switch user. Or maybe that was your plan already.

EDIT: If you delete your existing save data for Splatoon 3, you'll loose the all weapons you've bought. And those take A WHILE to unlock. (but if you only use a couple weapons, I guess it's not a big deal.)

It’s so surreal to think Side Order is in nearly 18 days. I’m playing it right away when it releases but somebody is probably going to spend an entire night or even day trying to get to the end so I’ll try to avoid spoilers for it, but I fell prey to spoilers to XC3 and Future Redeemed when they both released so it’s going to be a challenge for me since the Splat lore is really intriguing

Oh dear lord, now freelance and eggstra work are BOTH on Marooner's Bay. 🤦‍♂️ And of course that POS S-BLAST is in the mix too.. 😡 I want another golden rotation on Slamin Salmon Junction. That ***** was glorious!

It was my first time trying out Eggstra Work... but I've had some bad luck. Not once did I make it through the third wave. At least your progress bar doesn't decrease.

@luckyseven Yeah, someone's probably gonna leak the DLC somehow... it's happened with Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. I do remember that Nintendo Life made articles about those games being leaked, so I'm sure that NL will keep us posted should that happen.

@MarioLover92 Unlike with regular Switch games like you listed I think it’s impossible to leak DLC which is digital beforehand since it’s heavily encrypted. Spoilers are definitely more likely to show up shortly after it releases

@IceDomino Screenshots & saved video clips have nothing to do with your game save data. That's stored in an album folder like when you take a pic with your phone. So, you don't have to fuss with pics & clips.

Your game is stored in one place, and game save progress is saved separately on the switch internal memory.

Honestly, I don't know of anyone that's deleted their splatoon game progress. So, I don't have any suggestions at the moment.

@IceDomino So, I'm guessing maybe your cloud back up sabotaged your deleting of the game? Maybe there's an order you have to do it?

Maybe NIntendo's anti-hacking system won't allow you to destroy your Splatoon 3 inventory? You could always ask Nintendo support (when they're open). Forgive me if that's a lame suggestion.

@IceDomino Yeah, with Splatoon 2, I did link a second nintendo account to my #2 Switch user profile to start a new game & play online with it. If you want to start fresh & play online, MAYBE? it's possible you might have to use a second account? I'm just thinking out loud here. So, that leads me back to asking nintendo support.

(If you do talk to nintendo support, let me know how your experience is. They used to be quite good, and fairly easy to get a person on the phone (I think I said "representative" to the automated menu to get a person quicker). But I don't know if the quality is as good since the pandmeic.)

@IceDomino Yeah, you can talk to nintendo support. When they are open (seattle work hours) you can call or use a chat messenger. I've used both.

@IceDomino Yeah, you probably want to contact Nintendo about this, to see if your multiplayer save data and super sea snails are still on their servers. That's what it sounds like to me, anyway, and that might just be my best suggestion.

I wish I could help out more (and trust me, I really do), but I would like to share a tip with you for the future. For any game that you're playing, you might want to keep your cloud save data next time, just in case something like this happens. I also have automatic save data backup disabled, so I back up my save data manually - if my games crash and messes up my save data, I don't back up. So that's another tip for you from yours truly. Don't worry, I'm not upset at you or anything. Just offering my words of wisdom saying that it never hurts to have backups on hand.

So yeah, try chatting with Nintendo to see if they can help you out. Hopefully they can... best of luck!

@IceDomino OK, sorry about that. That's just how I interpreted things at first, only because I personally hold stuff like save data in a higher regard. That sounds like a plan, you retaking your screenshots/video clips isn't a bad idea you had. It's all right, we were just doing whatever we could to help you out.

I love Inkopolis. I moved over there. It just feels more compact. And I like the nostalgia. Plus I already know my way around.

Ive been in inkopolis ever since it came out, I love the way that splatsville has loads of cool areas but the nostalgia is just too much.
I have a suspicion that the reward for Side Order is Inkopolis Square and if it is I will probably ‘move’ there.
