@IceDomino I think Nintendo's priority is getting you into your next match ASAP, not that we couldn't wait a little longer.

I have 1.5 years + an embarrassing amount of hours in Splatoon 3 and I've still never gotten a gold capsule.

@IceDomino I can't stand them. Soon as I see it's a mirror match I immediately no longer care. I'd rather have to wait 5 minutes than do a mirror match.

I want a return of the toilet paper Splatfest. Front roll, back roll or when your Gran hides it under one of those scary weird dolls.

Does anyone know what inspired it? Is it movie related like the previous SR gear pieces?

Trying to decide whether I should get the Splatoon 3 DLC sooner or later... I got an Amazon gift card for my birthday, and I enjoyed the story modes for all the Splatoon games. Or maybe I should wait for Nintendo Life's review of Side Order...?

As for the Splatfest, I'm leaning towards Friday. It's when the weekend really begins once you're done with school (or work in some cases), and I have a pretty good feeling that it'll be the winning team.

@MarioLover92 You’ll also get Inkopolis as a $5 bonus if you want another plaza. SO is looking to be promising so if you want to buy it now you could go ahead since you said you liked the other story modes in the series. I remember buying the expansion pass a few days after it had been announced in last year’s Direct and I had no idea SO would be released like a year later 😭

@luckyseven Yeah, they give you Inkopolis for buying the expansion pass. I've been holding off on getting the DLC at that time because that's pretty much all it was, just an alternate hub area. Ouch... yeah it did take a good while for Nintendo to show off some gameplay and the release date. At least we're getting SO later this month! Might be a good time for me to get the DLC since not only SO's a few weeks away, it would also be the first time I'd see Callie and Marie perform during the Splatfest.

@MarioLover92 Regarding buying the Side Order DLC ($25) for Splatoon 3: Yeah, just wait for the Side Order review, I guess.

Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion was epic! ...A whole new single player campaign for $20. So worth it. So, chances are very good that Splatoon 3's Side Order will be worthy of purchase.

Side note: I looked on dekudeals to see if the Side Order DLC (sold alone) has ever gone on sale, but it hasn't. So, it appears you don't have to worry about waiting for, or missing a sale.😉 (the game+DLC bundle has been on sale, but you already have the game).

Dude, this sucks... Amazon won't let me use my gift card to buy the DLC. -_- I literally used an Amazon gift card to get the Smash Bros. volume 2 DLC back in 2021, as well. I don't know why that's not allowed anymore. Guess I'm gonna have to buy something else with it.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah, Octo Expansion is really good. It got really tough at the end though, lol. I also checked the eShop to see if the S3 DLC would go on sale, but yeah it hasn't. I think the reason why they didn't put it on sale is because Side Order's coming out in a few weeks.

Ohh. I think I finally figured out what the salmon run Hacker Jacket is from. Goonies? The character Data has a coat and control panel like it. Although, understandably, Nintendo skipped the strap of bullets. (forgive me if I'm super late coming to this conclusion)

@WoomyNNYes OMG, that's awesome. I can't believe I didn't figure that out. The Goonies is one of my favorite movies. Love it with a burning passion! Whomever at Nintendo is basing the SR gear on classic 80s movies like Back to the Future and The Goonies is the GOAT! Give them a raise.

Played some rounds of Eggstra Work and got 146 eggs. I played about 4-5 shifts. I don't know if I can care to play it more. It's really annoying to have two slow painting weapons, the Dynamo & S-Blast 92, for 5 whole waves. Well, if Dynamo was the only slow weapon, that would be fine.

@woomynnyes I am playing Dynamo for Eggstra Work. SBlast is so fun, but I am a 4 star Dynamo player, so I’d rather I play it than some GoGetter!
@bingleybongley What is your Sorrella Brella build? I have some Run Speed, Swim Speed, and Special Charge, plus a sub if QSJ.
