I love Tricolour Turf War though. I didn't think it'd be that fun but as someone on the WINNING team (humble brag humble brag), it's really great constantly vying for position. It's also where Big Bubbler becomes damn near essential for protecting the Ultra Signal, it's great stuff.

The tricolor format looks so unblanced. I'm so skeptical of that mode. The teams with only two players don't look like they have a chance against a full team of four players.

(splatfest hasn't started yet in my region)

@WoomyNNYes I wish they'd been more clear about how it all works but it seems that if either of the teams of two wins then both of them win. Can still splat each other though.

@WoomyNNYes I need to see more but it seems the team of 4 actually have a lot more work to do than the teams 2. The teams of 2 have a lot of safe ground (areas of the map the others can’t ink) whilst the middle ground is the team of 4 area which will always be under attack from the other 2 teams. As long as the other team of 2 isn’t incompetent it’s seems very possible that a team 2 can win.

Top/leading team is the team of four.
The other two teams are the top two players from previous teams.
That's how they explained in a direct, if my memory is correct.

@WoomyNNYes I find it pretty fun myself, though one critique I have of it is that, if the other teams get both Ultra Signals (or even just one in very rare cases), it's almost impossible for the 'winning' team to come back. I should know because I'm on said 'winning' team.

Also, whilst I'm here, which team did you go for in the end?

@WoomyNNYes I mean I wish they were more clear about whether it's meant to be 2v2v4 or 2+2v4. Seems to be the latter though considering your team can come last and still get the victory as a team of two as long as it's not the team of four that finished first. Lost a game though where I was trying to help Rock win it at the end (I'm with Paper for the EU Splatfest) and I needed to circle through their base quickly to get back to the middle safely but one of them splatted me and Scissors won thanks to that.

@BenAV Oh, I see what you mean, now. Agreed.

I'm expecting Rock will win the EU Splatfest (I'm on Paper by the way). Scissors (the defending team) has a big disadvantage on Tricolor Turf War but I've been seeing Rock cause the win more than Paper.

How do I reset the training room to get rid off all the ink?? Can we in the demo?
