On top of all of this, there's a new update (5.2.0) incoming. Given it's the NA account saying later today, it's probably going live in 1-2 hours.

OMG, Bluefin Depot is finally back! Literally been years now since I've played her. Also, it hard to tell in the trailer, but I am pretty sure there's a new King Salmonid! Rejoice! This season is going to be🔥.

Is it normal that my unused festival shells from Splatoween transferred over to this Splatfest?

@Grumblevolcano If that's true, I'm pretty sure they didn't carry over for the first splatfests. This is the first ive heard of them carrying over. But that's great.

Just started playing in the Splatfest a couple hours ago, and I got to a very rough start. I kept losing over and over again, and even had a couple of those dang communication errors... ugh. I did start taking home quite a few wins for Team Hug later on in my session, at least. I only squared off against Fist Bump players, no Handshake players for me just yet. There wasn't any mirror matches on my end, either.

Edit: Oh, and I just remembered. In one of my matches, I actually had a teammate who literally walked into a bomb and they got blown up. What the heck? I also got hit by one of the Trizooka shots right when I respawned!

I was a little confused by ‘Robo ROM-en’ name but then I remembered Americans exist and they would pronounce the O is ROM and A in Ramen with pretty much the same drawn-out AAAH sound.

Now it all makes sense!

@luckyseven Yeah. I'm on Hug and I only played against Fist Bump players. No Handshake players or mirror matches for me so far.

Been an annoying Splatfest for me. Having more disconnects than usual, including right at the end two games in a row where we were clearly about to win. Just want to get to Ruler already so I can stop.

I decided to play weapons I've never played to get sheldon licenses this splatfest, and THE FIRST MATCH I PLAYED WAS A 333x BATTLE. THE FIRST MATCH. I WAS PLAYING SPLAT CHARGER (a weapon I've literally never played). Somehow, I won. I was literally shaking. I think I'll wait till tomorrow before trying to play again.

@BingleyBongley How does playing unplayed/unused weapons boost aquiring Sheldon Licenses? I thought food tickets for XP boost were the only way to level up faster & aquire a sheldon license.

(A sheldon license is a voucher for new weapon, right?)

@WoomyNNYes I was playing weapons which I had no XP on. You get a sheldon license for the first star of freshness on a weapon.

Finally got around to playing in the Splatfest (Team Handshake ftw), got a 100x within 5 matches and a teammate DC'd instantly causing us all to disconnect.

I don't think I want to play Splatoon anymore.

Can I say something real quick?
