The Splatoon 3 anniversary/splatfest article has gone live (with the deep cut banners) via the Splatoon 3 channel in switch news.

@CaleBoi25 Ah yeah Ripstop & Go is a great one for sure. Aquasonic gets the slight edge for me... if I had to describe it, it's got a more optimistic kind of sound, which is why I like that one. I've also always liked Liquid Sunshine for a similar reason.

@Fizza They do sound like they would fit in a Sonic game! I've always loved music from the Sonic series so I feel right at home when one of the two new songs start playing.

@WoomyNNYes Huh that's weird... when I turned on my Switch and started the game (I forgot the banners came out until I finished one round), that news article with the Deep Cut banners didn't show up at all. It only appeared after I closed the game, then I was able to redeem the banners. Oh well, better late than never.

@Snatcher Did that article not show up for you? It didn't for me at first, it came up after I was done playing.

@Snatcher If the article got buried, open switch news & serach for splatoon 3 channel articles, and you should find the article from yesterday, September 5th, regarding Splatoon 3's anniversary splatfest. There's a button in the article to retrieve 3 deep cut banners for splatfest.

I searched youtube for Splatoon 2 longplay/walkthroughs, and surprisingly, finding a playthrough that used motion controls is a bit of a challenge.

Just ordered splatoon 2 on ebay for the story mode, and it can arrive anywhere from october 3rd to november 29th... Side order could release before this arrives

I live fairly far north in canada, so stuff usually takes a while to arrive, but not this long.

This player clowned on us. I've seen a player clown on me like this before. That time they were using sploosh-o-matic, this time it's aerospray. If anyone can replicate this play style, I'm sure it's fun. I think I get what's going on, but I can't quite move as well as they do with the same setup.

Their gear: 2 mains Swim Speed Up, 2 chunks Swim Speed Up, and 1 main of Special Power Up - that's it.

@WoomyNNYes It’s Turf Wars, I’m not surprised this goes on. I can’t recall what’s faster for traveling, though, holding ZL constantly or only pressing it when you need to swim. I would think the latter unless you’re sub-strafing, which I didn’t see any evidence of (based off the clip). I’m surprised there’s no ink resistance either considering how the RNG from the droplets could easily betray you but I guess it’s not a concern when trolling.

Is that not sub strafing in the beginning of the clip above, at 0:02 - 0:04?

Edit: I guess I see better what's going on. A lot of that fast directional changing (like circling around the player with charger) is possible because, like with sub strafing, holding ZL and repeatedly pressing ZR (going in and out of squid form) cancels directional momentum, allowing a quicker change of direction.

Ink resistance, "not a concern when trolling". Well said, @masterLEON. It's funny because that's how it looks.🤣

I haven't played this game in a while, now that its been an entire year, have they at least mostly fixed the regular risk of connection errors happening? I'd like to play it a bit more before the big DLC thing comes out, but the connection errors made me disinterested in putting a lot more time into it.

@kkslider5552000 The latest update made a huge improvement to connection errors in the lobby. Beforehand, if someone disconnected during matchmaking, it would disconnect everyone else and you’d have to start over. But now, you’ll automatically start matchmaking again, which saves a lot of time. Plus, lots of small connection bug fixes have been made over time. It’s definitely a lot more stable than it was a year ago.

Ohhhh. I just realized why I'm having better luck getting good teammates in Salmon Run. It's because it's a new season, experienced players are back, grinding/playing for the new rewards.

Here I am again, though, in high EVP 170-180. I can't break EVP 200. Now good teammates are not sticking around long enough for me to break 200. I don't know if it's because they think I'm weak, now, or if they are hitting 1200 points (the end of easy capsule rewards) and quitting.

I've still never broken evp 200. That's when you win a SR stage badges, isn't it. Dang it.
