The freelance matching meta has been trashed since pools were added. I used to commonly get veteran SR teammates with salmon run badges, but that's extremely rare anymore.

@WoomyNNYes It's not terrible, is it? I got paired with some amazing players yesterday and actually got up to 400 Eggsecutive VP on Marooner's bay with them! At least in Europe, there is still some great players in freelance

You definitely need to get into the VP 100's to stop being paired with... weaker coworkers

Maybe if you tune in at the beginning of a new rotation, when everyone's rank goes back to 40, you'll have more chance to find better players?

I have to say Sockeye Station pretty much got unplayable because all of the "weak" players. Marooner's Bay and Spawning Ground are very easy in comparison. My theory is that weak players just don't try those two maps anymore, and you get paired with more experienced players..

Hydroplant on the other hand literally forces players to stay near the basket. Oh, forgot to mention it... I lose on Sockeye because of not reaching quota. They stay 90% of the time at the shore. Dying is not the problem. It's like Jersey Shore is their favourite show, if you know what I mean. lol 😂

@Budda Yeah, maybe because Marooner and Spawning Grounds are old and dusty, new players aren't really drawn to them?

And I have to say, I was really negative about Marooner returning but yesterday completely changed my mind. The egg throw completely recontextualises the map. Being able to throw eggs to the shipwreck is absolutely crucial, and you can absolutely make use of the slamming lids and fish sticks to get back to safety on the bridge.
It's reaaaally fun now, can you imagine if Ruins of Ark Polaris came back? That would also be very much improved

Nintendo of america's title doesn't say "brand new hometown". If that's your issue. Maybe it's just a translation thing. "Tomorrow's nostalgia today" makes more sense.

@Wolfleaf My lesser-known pet peeve is struggling to paint a Flipflopper ring by myself with a charger. Right when I think I've finally painted enough of the ring, it still fails to block the flipflopper dive. Dammit!!!🤣 (I might have the same problem with a range blaster)

EDIT: I don't have a gloopsuit yet. I've been saving for the black one. I'm sitting at 62 silver scales. Although, it is very tempting to get the yellow gloopsuit. Currently, I only have a these slopsuits: orange, yellow, pink, and black.

The gold capsule is on place #2083.. on my normal seed, it's somewhere at around #850. I'll probably never get a gold capsule ever. 😅

Picked up Splatoon 3 for the first time in quite a bit last night. You know it’s been a long time because last night was my first time playing that new desert ruins stage. It’s a very interesting map. So many places to put a squid beacon. I just put one halfway through the map, super jumped there and let loose. Everyone else has these new emotes from the current season meanwhile I’m using one from the last season!

I'm not one to decorate living spaces with game stuff, but this LED Grizzco light is tempting.

Who want's to see a trippy, glitchy ending to wave three of salmon run?🤣

In part 1, you'll see I walk through the eggs and they don't pick up, and the timer hits zero. And the sloshing machine stops shooting, even though I'm not out of ink. Part 2 is where it get's trippy. I think I've seen the slow gold foamy trails before, but it's only when salmon run has gotten really glitched out. I think the other time I've seen it, the switch wouldn't save a clip - this time it did!😁

Has anyone else seen the glitchy golden foam before? It's weird.

I feel like an idiot, in the card game I've just realised you could swap the card bits for the cards you haven't got however I've spent most of my card bits already on making the ones I have got shiny.

Yeah, the price of customizing for shiny cards sabotages your capacity to buy the cards you could really use. I would say don't spend card bits to make shiny cards or upgrade the card art unless you've gotten to level 25-30+ in Tableturf.

Now that I reached level 30, I won't spend my 100-150 card bits I have because I know there are expensive cards I might still want.

@WoomyNNYes Well I currently have 4 card bits so it's gonna take me ages to get that DJ Octavio card now!

Splatoon 3 servers seem to be really rough, worse than at launch today. So many matches where several people got disconnected. There was even a time where 4v4 became 1v2.
