FINALLY, another Splatfest battle theme! I love Deep Cut's but they were getting pretty repetitive.

@Budda WAIT! I thought egg collecting looked weird because connection was weird (even though I was playing via wired connection). I'm going to have to pay attention next time I play. (Or maybe I was experiencing a weird connection. The animation was quicker, but it still seemed very delayed, which may have been a crummy connection.

There is delay, buuut the animation will be faster depending on the delay. That means you collect eggs as fast as it should be (offline). If there's a huge delay, the animation will be skipped altogether.

Oh man, I keep forgetting that there's gonna be a Splatfest in a few hours from now. I still have to decide what team I'm gonna pick, too.

Although I believe in Big Man Supremacy, I made the (easy) choice to side with Frye for the first time. Aliens are just cool. We already know Nessie is real, because there are Yoshi's everywhere. Bigfoot is just any human who is 7 feet tall. Whether I actually participate this time instead of late night trolling on Smash Ultimate is up for debate.

It's funny. I mean, I've seen the splatfest stuff setting up, and the red/oragne evening sky in-game, and it still hadn't sunk in. XD

I always love seeing the paint during Splatfest. It’s so pretty!

Welp, as expected, I've played lots of mirror matches and lost whenever I faced Team Nessie or even Team Bigfoot. At least I can be reassured now that I can see that my team won some 100x matches.

Aliens BARELY won the Sneak Peek, 33.74% to Nessie's 33.62% and Bigfoot's 32.64%, and we'll win the Votes for sure, so it's all down to the battles!

Wow, I spent 30,000 coins on the Shell-Out Machine and got an emote that I already had so ended up with 6,000 coins instead. What a ripoff!

I'd be more annoyed if this was like Splatoon 1 and 2 where weapons cost coins, honestly not a fan of the Sheldon licenses system though. It pretty much makes the seasonal weapon additions rather meaningless.

The excessive times I get Salmon Run newb teams that have no idea what's going on is wearing on me (US region). If it's obvious that teammates are cluelessly dying way too much, we're not getting eggs, nobody's painting walls, and it's obvious there's no way we're going to make easy quotas to complete wave 1 or 2 at hazard level 120, I disconnect. I'm an awful person now. I disconnect all the time now, because matching has been so bad since March 1. They're going to need to ban me for days or longer to counter this ridiculousness. Even if I get out of pro 2 limbo, there's no way I can get back to EVP. It's insane. I haven't beat a king salmonind in a month. It's impossible. Matching & the playerbase won't loadout decent enough teams. I can't get away from people playing Salmon Run for the first time. The matching or meta was never this bad from September to February. (Since game's release, I've averaged 20-50 silver scales a month. For march, I've gotten about 2, possibly 4.)

@WoomyNNYes It's important to note that unbalanced matchmaking is the usually the result of a lack of players.

I feel bad for you. At the last shift on Sockeye Station, it was actually way too easy to defeat Horrorboros, thanks to the Hydra. Beat him in less than 50 seconds every time.
Actually played up to 700VP this time and got 20 Silver Scales and some Gold, because I got lucky with getting decent teams. It wasn't a pain to get out of low VP this time around. Collecting gold eggs fast thanks to the overhauled netcode helped a lot.
