@Nicolai Eh, I thought we played really... at least when our league power wasn't determined yet. And it's not like we weren't close to winning some of those matches.
Better luck to us next time, I guess.
@Pahvi Nope started at 8. But thanks for reminding. Finding 4 people should be easier. This is another case that shows that it really should be open all the time. Dont even want to imagine the horror of finding people when online payment starts^^ But i think i wont experinece it.
Congratulations to Team Mayo for winning the Splatfest! That means I'll be having mayonnaise on my burgers. Also, well done to Team Ketchup for a wonderful performance!
Im starting to love salmon run. Reached the highest level today. Cant play more than a few rounds of splatoon but i just played like 3 hours salmon run. Definitely a mode that gets better over time. I hope this mode will get updates.
Yeah that's one thing I absolutely hated. I couldn't play with my SO, even Triforce Heroes let's you team up with a single friend and will look up the final random person for you. It's super frustrating how dead set it seems against letting you just play online with your friends on the same team. Even when you do play together it's only because the game just happened to put you together. I'm not too fond of paying for a service like that.
@Operative2-0 Nintendo just doesn't want proper teams (those that can formulate strategies ahead of time) frustrating those who are not so fortunate. The easiest way to fix this while keeping newer players happy is simply allowing bots (with better AI than singleplayer Octolings) in private matches.
@meleebrawler but isn't that the point of team play? If anything the problem you describe would be less of an issue if they did allow for groups of two or three with the matchmaking providing the leftover spots. I also figured that's why they have separated rankings for team and solo players
@Operative2-0 The way Nintendo sees it, if you bother to play with friends at all you already take the game way more seriously than most people. Thus you either play the League Battle designed for true team battles (if you're wondering why they don't allow three-man teams, it's so that newbie solo players who think they're hot stuff after reaching B in a ranked mode drag them down), or you set up Private battles to make your own rules.
I tried out Salmon Run just now, and it's fun! Managing the waves I. Higher levels must be quite hard, though. That eel thingy in particular is annoying.
Yeah. The Dualies and the Gatling are fine, but the Brush and the Tuber are terrible in Salmon Run. Plus I've been getting groups of two and three. Not nice for this!
@Luna_110 The brush is okay too, to be honest. It's not the best for taking out bosses quickly, but it can handle crowds just fine (especially Smallfry) and make swift getaways with it's dash. Goo Tuber... it's one selling point is completely useless against Salmonids. 'Nuff said.
The Steel Eel is only a major problem in high tides. Otherwise it's just a matter of identifying who it's targeting, and luring it to a favourable position. The real enemy floats in the skies...
