@OorWullie ah, that's why. It all depends on the cartridge.
Most are the same for each region, but some like Splatoon are different for some regions.

That's interesting if the reason I can join both you in NA is because I bought the game from NA Eshop,even when playing on my UK account. During TW and Ranked I'm matched with mostly Japanese.

@OorWullie I think it is ping based matchmaking though so it will still try to find people closer to you
