....Someone mentioned that it's possible this could still use Steam features and stuff, no idea what they mean by that. Apparently other console versions did this? Does that mean that Portal 2 could allow you to download user-created puzzles? Would love to get back into creating stupid puzzles since I have it on Steam.

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Yeah at that price, this is a must-buy if you've never played these games. You're getting a deal because I bought Portal 2 at full price back in the day.
So suddenly its out now. I'm just emphasizing my point, its 20 bucks, its two all time great games, everyone reading this who has somehow never played Portal should play Portal.

At this point I doubt it, but...any word on this?

Too bad I gotta wait a month to buy this (money reasons), $25 CAD is an amazing price for both games, I've played Portal 2 on PC before I deleted steam. Never played Portal (1) so that will be the first game I play out of the two.
It looks incredible both docked and handheld, almost exactly how I remember it on my PC running a 2080 ti. So that's pretty impressive.
Gyro works flawlessly. Gotta enable it in settings, but once you do, don't change anything for sensitivities. It's perfect as is.
And while Portal 2 is, imo twice as good as Portal 1, and has way better production values, I still think ppl should play Portal 1 first because, it's still better than 99% of other games out there, and story wise playing 2 first will spoil the first. These are games you really want to experience in order.
Both look and run fantastic. 1080p 60fps docked, 720p 60fps handheld. Muah!

So happy to see these great games on Switch, and pretty happy with how amazing they look but....is the difficulty of puzzles hard to figure out sometimes or it's balanced and also is the game fun alone or with a friend?
-The game difficulty is right in the middle, both games have single player but 2 also has a separate co-op campaign.
I've always preferred the relative simplicity of Portal 1. It's the perfect length. You can sit down and play through the entire game comfortably over the course of an evening.
They're both fantastic experiences, though. It's a pity Valve seems to largely be done making games.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
I sat down 2 Christmases ago and played Portal 2 from start to finish with my brother watching and helping me solve the puzzles. It was an exceptional experience and a memory I'll cherish for a lifetime.
But I've also played them solo and they're fabulous. The feeling of figuring out a solution is just... muah! Perfecto!
Puzzles feel like Nintendo designed them for Zelda or Metroid they're so good. Not overly difficult or obtuse like a lot of amateur games. They feel like the perfect difficulty and make you feel like a genius figuring them out.
Be sure to go into settings and enable gyroscopic aiming. No need to change any sensitivities. They're perfect as is. Just enable and roll out.
This is a game you'll be telling stories about 20 years from now, explaining to the new generation of gamers how it's one of the greatest video games ever made.

@Rambler
There are some really excellent 1st person games. Portal 1/2 are first person puzzle. Metroid Prime 1/2/3 are first person adventure/metroidvania. Ghostrunner is first person platforming/melee combat. Neon White is first person platforming/card-based shooter. But even games like Doom Eternal are first person shooter and really fun.
It just comes down to the game.
Having said that, I actually love Call of Duty, at least, I love the single player campaigns if played with gyro aiming.
