I think this is the first time a Valve game has ever been on Nintendo.
I do miss when Valve made games regularly, since they were awesome. Portal's objectively one of the most perfect games I've ever played, and Portal 2 is a worthy follow-up despite arguably not being as perfect.
@Fizza this is literally my exact thought. I thought the steam deck would basically destroy any switch ports from existing but alas... i was wrong. i will consider buying this even though I have it on PC.
Legit two of the best puzzle/platformers ever made. If Valve won't offer a physical copy at launch, then I feel Limited Run will make a mad dash to serve one up. These games deserve physical preservation probably more so than most others. Unfortunately this probably means no release of The Orange Box for Switch.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,529 games (as of November 20th, 2025)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 3 games (as of November 23rd, 2025)
Yeah at that price, this is a must-buy if you've never played these games. You're getting a deal because I bought Portal 2 at full price back in the day.
Didn't see this coming, but it was a nice surprise. Now for the burning question: how well will the games run on Switch? Janky performance may interfere with the more precise puzzle-solving and platforming segments of both games.
@SnackPop Given the age of the games they don't really need anything too powerful to run - my ricketey old PC runs the first fine (I haven't played the second yet).
@jump Not that bad of a spoiler if at all as the trailer kinda hints at it TBH, but you know, Don't want people kicking my ass for saying anything LOL.
