@VoidofLight Fair enough, hope you have a good break. I'm going to wait until next week before making any decisions myself (since I personally feel it's a bit too early to say whether or not we'll be getting weekly trailers) but if we do get another one next week, I'll be doing the exact same thing as you (especially if they show starter evos, please god no thank you very much).

@Fizza Yeah. It'll be sad if they end up doing a blowout that shows the entire game honestly, since they've been doing so well with the marketing so far. I'm hoping this trailer is just to offset the tons of old info we got in the last one, but at the same time I just don't want to chance things when we're so close to the release of the game already.

I've made up my mind. I'm going to wait to get this game.

It looks kinda meh. But then again it could be whoa.

@VoidofLight I probably won't convince you but my personal advice would be to tune in to tomorrow's trailer, see what it's about and then log off of the internet for the next month. If the title says something along the lines of 'Your Partners Are Evolving!' or 'Meet Paldean ______!' though, I'd say GTFO there faster than a Regieleki (I know I will if that's what tomorrow's trailer is).

@Fizza I'll probably catch the trailer tomorrow and just skim through it or something. There's a good chance it'll just end up being a character reveal and that's all.

Speaking of character reveals, Pokemon Singapore (I swear I'm not making this up) seems to have revealed the potential English name of this mystery Gym Leader so if you don't want to know, don't click on the box:

I was absolutely bang on with the whole VTuber thing though. Now it's just a matter of what the hell this mon is. 2 big things that people mistake for eyes and an expanding belly? Interesting....

The announcement of annoying looking new gym leader just wasting my time.

@Eel My personal hope/guess is an Electric-type Paldean Gulpin.

This trailer looked like as one of those Pokémon trailers where wait 24 hours or 48 hours or 72 hours to get follow up trailer that finishes the first ones information. Etc this one asks that we guess her Pokémon in the comments and my guess is Electric/Psychic Frog. xD

@SViper Hey, it could've been a lot worse: she could've started a 24-hour subathon where you have to catch Pokemon for it to keep going (Glimwood Tangle flashbacks intensify).

Also yeah: a frog does sound a lot more plausible doesn't it XD. W-wait....squishy....carefree personality....two big bumps on it's head that people mistake for eyes..... OH MY GOD WAIT.

I like how the new character looks, I understand her voice is annoying, but man do people hate her design, and her teeth, I like her teeth ☹️. I thought the the whole streamer thing was new and different as well.

On topic on what the Pokémon can be, I honestly think it would be cool if we got a fairy type electric type mix up, so, yeah literally a electric type version of some of the most loved fairy types, jigglypuff being one of them.

In my opinion, some of Gym leader design from Sword / Shield and previous games have more interesting design than this gym leader.
I personally don't like over excited personality with forced high pitched voices like from that electric type Gym leader as I felt it was very fake and annoying. From her outfit design, I personally didn't like the outfits design like that. It was not my taste at all.

@Snatcher I like the design a lot personally: they're basically parodying streaming/VTubing culture by making the most loud and abrasive character possible and I think it worked wonderfully (also: we were bound to have a streamer Electric-type trainer at some point).

Then again, I think I might just have a thing for shark teeth honestly after this year.

@Fizza That’s why I like her too, I can understand why people wouldn’t like her, but man do they hate her, knocking her teeth, her jacket, her hair. it’s here opinion tho, I really like her design, from the teeth to her hair pins which are just way to cute, and her jacket which I feel like fits her vary well, it even has pikachu colors, I’m really liking the gym leaders so far. Your mc eyes still look off tho, just compared to everyone else.

(I have always like shark teeth, shiver, just re awakened that lol)

@Anti-Matter Fair, I think the voice kinda played into it tho, like it is kinda fake, it’s her internet persona. Idk that for sure tho, for all I know that’s how she really acts.

I think the design is just a bit over the top, if it’s meant to be a “real person”… However if they do go full in with the vtuber thing and it turns out that’s just an avatar in-game a la Wizard of Oz, that would be a clever twist.

Like, imagine the real person behind the magical cotton candy hair is a shy regular-looking girl. Perhaps one you already meet before. Bonus points if the game only implies it, and never directly states who the real person behind the vtuber is.

I know the games aren’t strangers to crazy hair and magical floating accessories, but it’s usually tied to psychic-type trainers 🤔
