Topic: Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet

I personally enjoyed it a lot and I haven't enjoyed a Pokemon game this much in over a decade. I didn't experience performance issues as much as everyone else, but the game itself is pretty fun. I think at the very least it's a good foundation for a modern Pokemon game on console. This is the direction I think Pokemon should go in and the game that future games should build on.

@Nep-Nep-Freak Pokemon Violet isn't my favorite Pokemon (I gave it an 8/10) but I quite enjoyed it.

Some of the graphical jank was a bit annoying and the clothing options sucked and the towns were very bland, but I loved all the movement abilities you get riding your mount and exploring in whatever order you wanted was fun (although for me it made the first part of the game extremely hard and the later game insanely easy 😆 ) and the main plot line was one of the best in Pokemon. Plus just the cute Pokemon wandering around is fun.

I enjoyed it when it first came out- despite the flaws that it had. It'll serve as a good blueprint going forwards for Open World Pokemon games- so long as they use the foundation they set here and refine it. Actual level scaling, more interesting landmarks and towns, etc.

I think Gen 10 might be a treat if they actually keep what worked about Gen 9 but polish it up a bit more.
