My tracking number just updated on the UK store that it was scanned by the retailer at 1902 today onto the Royal Mail network... are they kidding? I had my preorder since 13th January thinking I better get in fast, then I had an email saying it was going next day delivery, then they don't even release it till the evening of release day? What's happening here?!
I've ordered one from Tesco now anyway but this is really poor. Time for more emails.
God, this is such bad service from these companies! Shocked to hear Nintendo has training AGAIN today! Poor service and I hope that they realise what a mess they've made of people's days today.
Yeah I've been having the same problems as everyone else. 8:20pm now so not a chance of delivery. Same royal message too. So furious right now, I'm worried I won't even get it tomorrow which would be the final straw. After being so excited about how on form Nintendo has been with the switch, it's massively soured me to them now.
I realised at 2pm today that I wasn't going to get my Switch today, having pre ordered from official site as soon as it was physically possible. After the trouble I had with the NES mini I thought I'd give Nintendo one more chance to get a pre order right but that's it now. No more chances. The guy I spoke to on the helpline admitted it was their fault for despatching after 8pm on Thursday night, as that meant the agreement they had with Royal Mail for next day delivery no longer applied and it had become 48hr. The guy even said I should go out and buy one from the shop and refuse the pre order package when it arrives. Like I can afford 2 lots of £280. He did say though that I should write and complain and expect some compensation. Their customer service is shocking. No Web chat. No response to twitter. No response to emails. No response to queries on your order through the website. No help at all on the phone (if you eventually get through) apart from clarifying that they had actually screwed up. So annoyed, as I took the day off work. So I said I'll be invoicing them at my usual daily rate.
Well I hope that means I will get it tomorrow then for sure haha yeah I left two pretty angry complaints in the contusion us part of my order. I best get it tomorrow and I best get compensated for sure.
I can wait till monday. I just go and stroll the city tomorrow and try find a screen protector, travel bag and maybe the pro controller.
I can play Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4 for now. So I am good. Zelda isn't going anywhere. It will still be there on monday.
Finally my tracking works, it says it wasn't received until 18.23 today! HOW IS THAT NEXT DAY! Sorry but this is just stupid. I got it delivered to work so that I didn't have to sign for it, but that means I will not get it until Monday. Well my wife is happy that I won't be playing on zelda all weekend. But this is still unexceptional. But still no response from the store after two messages at 8am and 1.30pm. Any customer service at all? Not even a sorry.
Why isn't this a major story on the site? Cos you don't want to annoy them or something? Come on!!!
