Topic: Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate

Well you just need to know which ones to buy. They obviously will need the gamepad because touch screen. So you need to consider that when choosing them.

The three I bought in total all work perfectly when playing on just the gamepad.

Mystery Dungeon and Animal Crossing have the action in the touch screen, but if I want to use the TV there's always the "small top screen, big bottom screen" layout. Wario Ware on the other hand, that's more or less stuck on the gamepad.

You'll probably want to only get games that limit the action to one screen or the other, since those are the ones that work best on the WiiU.

I just wanted to play them on the TV, WarioWare Touched was...well, fine I guess. But I wanted Advance Wars Dual Strike, but the only way to play on the TV is have the two screens in weird positions. If you have the two screens set up vertically, not only are they super small because they thought it was a good idea to have the DS image on there, but the Gamepad has be used vertically, just making things awkward to control.

I mostly prefer the setups where one screen is small and the other one is big. I find those work best to play on the TV (unless the game is like the mario games and all the action is in the top screen anyway). It's just a matter of getting used to it. Then again I prefer playing on the gamepad either way.

Probably missed out on a lot of Palico moves just because I couldn't read Japanese. xD

I think the only new move I messed with a few times was this...rolling bomb attack?

@ReaderRagFish iirc you want to use the big boomerang and piercing boomerang skills to do lots of damage with them. My fighting palico that I use for prowler missions has the boomerang pro and attack up (L) passives as well to do more damage.

Welp, traded in the Wii U and some other things, got Gen U. $40 leftover, heh.

Did you remember to format it before trading it in?

I swear Generations Ultimate looks a lot cleaner with improved textures and lighting. lol

When my kiddos get back from their moms I'll give it a look. I have the cartridge GU. I'll put it their Switch and give it a comparison.

Maybe there's a difference between physical and digital?...I dunno, I'm not gonna worry about it right now.
EDIT: Took a look at some of my MHXX screens on Facebook...guess I'm gonna go with that it's an illusion then, so weird. lol
