The demos are nothing new...they have always had crappy demos. Even back then with MH4 and 4U, I was hoping it would let you play the beginning of the game with Dah'ren or something. lol

Yes they're almost always just "here kill these three monsters".

The demos are great for veterans familiar with the series and that's about it. Its hard to explain the addicting nature of grinding for loot with just the demo to show off.

I think even World has a similar setup with that beta thing on the PS4. Only difference is that two other monsters can be seen on the map, still though...Why can't they just do a "first hour" thing or something. I mean MH Stories did it. xD

Then they'd need to make it possible to transfer the file from the demo. And who has time to develop that.

@Yosheel I just have no interest in the demo, besides I've been playing Hyrule Warriors again as well as MH World.

Yup, I also had to restart the demo to go back o the code inputting screen.

I have the theory that these monsters don't really scale their health to accomodate the number of players in multiplayer, so Barioth seems to be designed for 3 players, and the other one for 4.

So what's the deal with this game? Played it for 5 minutes and got killed by some random dinosaur. So in the game I have to track down the main dino and kill it?

Pretty much.

Each monster is like its own big boss battle. They have calls and patterns you can learn, etc.

The full game has you kill monsters to get better equipment to kill stronger monsters and making stronger equipment out of them. Etc.

I do wished that the main game's multiplayer was region free. Oh wellz.

I have a file halfway-done on the 3DS version. I'm considering starting over, but to be honest I'm kinda lazy.

I'm starting over from scratch. I don't think I was very far in the game anyway. After playing Tri on Wii, 3U on 3DS AND Wii U, and 4U on 3DS, I was Monster Huntered out.

So anyway, that Barioth is crazy right? First time I played it, I ran out of time and it took me most of the time to break some parts off. The second time I played it I broke off parts in about 5 minutes and killed it with about 10 minutes to spare.
