@JaxonH heck yeah. I'm trying to finish this before I move onto Bayonetta 3. So fat, I'm staying faithful to the plan. I should have this game tidied up by the Sunday to start bayo3. Then after that, I think I'll buy P5R until FE Engage. My only issue is I also pre-ordered crisis core 🤪
I'm on the final world, about 27hrs in. I do most of the side content but not all, so I'm surprised I'll be passing 30hrs by the time I roll the credits. I recall NLs reviewer mentioning you'll play somewhere around 15-20hrs. I barely had any lost battles or restarts, so I'm a bit surprised. Nonetheless, this game delivers on bang for the buck. And I cannot wait for FE Engage on 2 months. More strategy goodness 🙂
Well, I finished the game tonight. The final battle was a long one, but it wasn't too hard. Just time consuming. It was definitely one of the best games I've played this year, just behind xenoblade chronicles 3. Tomorrow I'll start Bayonetta 3 to see what all the fuss is about 😉
I've completed the main story and just have a few side quests to finish. Is there any easy way to find what you're missing? I've been searching around the levels but still can't find the last few challenges and not sure I'll bother at this stage.
Also, I'm a bit puzzled about those glowing patches with the spiral shape on top. I've seen them in all of the levels and assumed you'd get a power to scan them and unlock something but they don't seem to have any purpose?
On the sixth world right now and man, this one just isn’t doing it for me. I don’t know why, because the systems are all improved from the original, but I liked the challenge in that one way more, the humour, the vibe, the way the story was portrayed, even if there wasn’t much. I’m going to finish it because it’s pretty fun, but it doesn’t have any ‘feeling’ to it, it’s hard to get excited for anything happening in the game. The music feels kind of off and Ill-fitting, the exploration is nice but the worlds feel so devoid of life, the battles give me so many options but it’s not often that winning a battle truly feels good and well-earned even of the hard difficulty. It’s so weird to me how there’s improvements everywhere.. but it feels like everything lacks soul now. The fact most of the humour is based on making fun of npcs that get introduced and then yeeted out within a few hours with no lasting impact compared to the more wordless humour of kingdom battle’s cutscenes… beep-o just isn’t funny.
What a letdown, at least it isn’t too bad in terms of gameplay but wow, I just see nobody talk about it.
I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.
It's probably my 2nd favorite game for 2022. The story was pretty decent and the gameplay was even better than the original. I wish more people got behind the game honestly.
Never played the first one, but had only heard good things about it. Guessing this is the type of game that allows for jumping in as a new player with no dramas.
I’ve just started playing this despite wanting the game day one and it’s hard to explain that whilst this is a ‘GOTY’ worthy candidate and I’m enjoying the game it kinda feels like a disappointment. It’s probably because the first one which was amazing over delivered on my mid expectations whilst this one has high expectations going into it.
I cleared the first map as much as I could, started progress on the second and I dunno, I just got bored. It is weird as I was enjoying it and then just… wasn’t. Can’t really explain it. Fully plan to come back to this at a later date though, I think this’ll be a good one to dip back into when we have another dry stretch. Or maybe one to chip away at an hour here or there when I am home from the holiday break.
