Topic: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

So Mario + Rabbids 2 is confirmed real by Nintendo themselves, they couldn’t even be bothered to wait for the Ubisoft presentation. I’m looking forward to this but I’m not sure how they can improve upon the last one besides just using a different setting.

I was surprised how much i liked the first one. I hope maybe there's other playable characters like bowser or some other one. Can you imagine Rabbid bowser? LOL! Looking forward to it!

This is in my top three switch games. So I am in.

Really enjoyed the first one, and was actually hoping to replay soon.

@timleon I noticed Rabbid Rosalina too. It’s mention there’s 9 characters so Mario, Luigi & Peach in the art work plus Rosalina and their Rabbids doppelgängers and the leather jacket wearing Rabbid makes 9. Does that mean Yoshi has been cut from the roster?

Improvements:

• Have multiplayer available from the beginning, rather than lock it behind level 4, or whatever it was.
• I didn't love how the overworld had rails/curbs restricting you so much. Minor gripe. Maybe it just makes me want 3D mario.

Well that's on Ninty, they put down certain rules on what the game can and can't do in the first one like Mario jumping so it doesn't get too close to becoming a 3D Mario game.

I believe every Rabbids will say "DAAAAAH...!!!", even Luma Rabbid. 😆

With a 2022 release, I'm going to assume they're going to aim for late August release like they did with the previous Mario+Rabbids.

I assume they announced it because it got leaked? Otherwise a bit of a weird timing to announce it this early and even more weird just before the direct/presentation.

I liked the game quite a bit, so I'm happy about this. The pacing of the overworld could be fixed. Make the main game playable in co-op is something I would appreciate. Give us a bit more control in the game, for instance I want to be able to throw a grenade anywhere, no auto aim like they did in the first game, that removes a lot of the strategy.

I guess I'm glad if a game has to be leaked, its one developed by a company that doesn't deserve to have its secret games kept secret, nor one anyone should be too surprised is happening. A sequel was fairly inevitable I imagine.

They're showing it in Ubi forward NOW.....
