@VenomousAlbino Yeah, it was fun! It was a good matchup. My Crash Team Racing muscle memory had me hitting the inside of turns like an idiot in the first 3 races It was comical.

I noticed you may not know a key shortcut in Donut Plains track Or maybe you skip it because it's a bit tricky. You can cut this corner underwater. I pasted the video to play at the shortcut's time stamp. Pardon the world record clip, I couldn't find normal races of people taking the shortcut.

Yeah I've accrued knowledge of a few sneaky routes in the last few decades, although I bet my knowledge pales in comparison to some people's.

You also may have noticed that when it comes to Koopa City, I really struggled to keep up. For some reason that track has always given me problems.

@VenomousAlbino the amount of shortcuts and the precision you need to achieve them in MK Wii is ridiculous, but they’re part of the reason that it’s my favorite Mario Kart game.

@VenomousAlbino Ohhh, I didn't know Neo Bowser City was also called Koopa City. Yeah, that's a tough track. Music Park too.

As far as MK8D completion goes, I liked the challenge of beating all the Nintendo Staff time trials ghosts; Their ghost user names start with "NIN*....", I think? I think learning the tracks in Mario Kart is fun, and finding the shortcuts.
