If I were to set up a MK8D tournament for NLife forumers, would anyone be interested? Might be a good and persistent way for us all to play together.

@VenomousAlbino I was wondering the same thing for MK7, making a nintendolife community (if there isn't one already). Granted, less people are playing MK7 these days. ( I guess it's "tournaments" in MK8)

@VenomousAlbino I joined the tournament. Do we want an 8 race limit? (it's set for 8 race limit.) Was that your intent? Or was your intent to make an online space for NL users to race each other all the time?

@VenomousAlbino Was making a nintendolife mk8 tournament/community your intent? Let me me know. I don't want step on your plan and change things. If yes, then we could ask AntDickens if it's ok to edit the thread title to add "nintendolife tournament/community (unofficial)" (I think he just gave that approval above, but we can tag him to make sure it's ok). If this wasn't your intent, let me know. If it the tournament/community gets decent participation, it would be nice to have a centralized space for nintenodlife forum people to race. You don't need to exchange friend codes, you just add the tournament code, and it's saved. And you can always check in and see if others are racing.

@WoomyNNYes Yeah my intent was just to have somewhere forum users can race with each other. When I can, I'll change the race limit and also see if I can set the active hours so that it's constantly active. Also, if it does indeed become the official NLife tournament, I'll change the name accordingly.

@VenomousAlbino I think it can only become NLIfe tournament space, if the thread title can say it. @AntDickens is it ok if the OP adds "nintendolife tournament/community(unofficial)" to the thread title? I looked, and I can't find another thread that's tried to make a centralized nintendolife MK8 tournament/community space. Any thoughts or concerns? (who knows if it would take, but it would be nice to have a centralized space to race other NL users.)

Go ahead and add to the thread title "nintendolife tournament/community (unoffical)". It's probably ok.

I've made the changes. It'll now run daily (with an hour-long window where it'll be inactive, so I can make any necessary changes down the line) and there's now no race limit.

In terms of bringing it to people's attention, it'd be great if we could get this thread made sticky, or get the staff to promote it in some way.

I love the https://www.nintendolife.com community precisely for these things, I hope that many people will join this tournament and see if with a little luck I will participate.
