Lol I'm apparently the only one who doesn't like this art style.

Not enough to really ruin the game though, cos I love Zelda too much.

@Delibheel lol you sound like we didn't have a new one in 2017...

God first.

@Dezzy No it really looks bland. Too bad since I love LA.

@Vee_Flames BotW is just regular proportions with cell shading.

This is an entirely new style. Kinda like yarn games, or the new Yoshi, or the painting levels in Mario U.

Map layout looks the same to me, I'd be surprised if it was anything more than a remaster.

I think if they change anything, it'll be some of the dungeon puzzles. The added 3D means they can do a lot more stuff.

If they don't change anything, it'd still be fine, because the original game was really advanced for its time, but it would still feel a bit behind ALBW, which had some really advanced gameplay mechanics.

there is no title right now to go with it, like hd or 3d. do you think it could be a package of the older games. awakening is a small game. I could see seasons, ages getting put into a package or link to the past since it's all the same incarnation of link

@Dezzy the biggest change for me will be the ability to equip more than two items at once.

Maybe even having the sword be a permanent button, if we're being adventurous.

Looking forward to this game lots. Never played the original so will be like a new game for me.

Was hoping for a LTTP remake but not disappointed in this at all! It just looks frickin magical! Played this game so so much as a kid on the OG brick Gameboy. I don't even need to see anymore. Just give me a release date and I will give you my money nintendo lol!!

I’m sooooo excited.

Link’s Awakening (the original) was the game that made me love videogames. Seeing this makes me so happy.

That will actually be quite an important improvement. It was incredibly irritating to switch items constantly.
The easy equip/unequip in Ocarina 3D completely fixed the water temple for me.

The Oracle games wouldn't be worth the time imo. Those are the worst 2D Zelda games (post-LttP) by quite a way.

according to who? you?
because a lot of people love the Oracle games, including myself and Pete41608.

I join the Oracle fan club.

However those and Minsh Cap could have weird issues considering Capcom developed them and Nintendo seems to prefer looking at the other side when it comes to referencing them.

@Dezzy Nah. The Oracle games are great, and I enjoyed them quite a bit more than Link's Awakening. Capcom really did a good job with them.

Only 2D games I unambiguously love more are LttP and ALBW.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

You can gauge interest in Nintendo announcements by seeing which trailer gets the most views. Links Awakening has more than Mario Maker, which has about twice as much as anything.

Yes, when I give opinions it's usually my own. Other people get annoyed if I give their opinions instead.
