Mine is out for delivery. I’m hoping it doesn’t come too late and leave me nothing to do on my day off. I suppose I could get Rocket League and play while I wait for it.
So, I've been playing this for an hour, alright up until now, if not to say looks amazing.
But then a cutscene / flashback scene came on (the one with the arrival on the train station and the military seargent) and synchronization got pretty laggy, like 3 seconds off. I shut the down the game and now I'll wait for the download/update/rest of the game to finish. Takes 2hrs 30min.
I hope this fixes the issue.
Mine has just arrived, but now I’m raging. It’s says the download is going to take an hour, I have a download speed of over 100mbps, the download isn’t that big so not sure why it’s so slow.....
@Hughesy: It seems the download is just as big as the download for DOOM, but it takes three times as long.
Maybe it's launchday traffic? I got DOOM two days earlier than release, so maybe that download was faster because of that.
Keep in mind that - just like DOOM - you can already play the game.
But seeing that the game has some ugly cutscene synchro lag issues at the end of chapter 1, I'd wait for the download to finish.
Nintendo need to enter the 21st century, I think their servers are powered by mice. Sadly the Switch doesn’t show what speed it’s downloading at, if I could be bothered I could go on my PC which can tell me what speed the Switch is downloading at. I see at a certain point you can play, so that’s what I’ve done, but it’s been stuck at a loading screen for a few minutes now...
Once you get to a certain point you can just play the game, which is what I have done. It looks and plays great, yes the other remaster will look prettier, but when I’m not at home I can take it with me, which is priceless. This is the 3rd time I’ve bought it, first on 360, which used multiple discs, which was worse then having to download some of it IMO, then also the PC version.

What do you mean "Once you get to a certain point you can just play the game"?
I assume the certain point you talk about is once you put the cart into the Switch's cart slot.
@SKTTR
Think he means downloading it digitally. Presumably the point at which you have the content that's on the cart
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)
They pierced My hands and feet
Isaiah 53:5 (700 yrs before Christ)
He was pierced for our transgressions
Zachariah 12:10 (500 yrs before Christ)
They will look on Me whom they pierced

No I meant the physical version. It was downloading the rest of the game and then said I can play. Unless you lot played before downloading the rest of it. When I put the cart in it started downloading it.
I’m so impressed with how it looks and runs, it doesn’t look all that different from what the PC version looked like, except the resolution I played at. Pop in objects and so on happened in that version as well, no idea what PS4/X1 looks like, but I’m so happy with this version. If I play it at work, people are going to look at me funny if I, examining a naked women haha. It’s a shame we probably won’t get Red Dead 2, but it would be cool if they ported the first one.
So just started playing it in handheld mode for the first time, as I want to watch football, still looks great and the framerate seems stable so far like when it’s docked.
