@QwertyQwerty actually now that I thought about the fact this is Rockstar... no. no its not weird. You just made me think about what a trash port GTAIV was on PC.

I was just thinking like, this game is 6 years old and not even very graphically demanding, how could there possibly be an issue with the frameratel... but yea, youre right... its totally possible they would f the whole thing up.

Weird that Amazon US never ever seemed to have this game for pre-order. That's interesting and I imagine right there sales will be pretty low. I didn't even know it was releasing now.

Does anyone know if the PS4 version is playable off the disc or with a much more minimal download? Might pick it up on PS4 if so. I probably wouldn't play this handheld anyway since there's so many other games I'd currently rather have in the handheld including Skyrim by week's end.

Of course the PS4 version fits on a disk, considering they can hold 50gb. Well in a way it doesn’t, as they install like PC’s so you still need storage like on Switch, and that doesn’t take into account patches.

I searched and couldn’t find this game on Amazon for purchase?????

I am happy to report you can have duplicate software. It just has to be up to date. Once I updated Shantae/Snake Pass they both launched from both micro SD cards.

So yes. You can split cards, you can even have the same game on two different cards. But if your save file is from a newer version, it will require the update before launching to avoid a conflict of save data on a different version than what you're running.

@Qwertyninty Yes you do unfortunately. $30 for 2 years but it is far cheaper then Amazon.

So the game IS playable from cart? See, I kinda figured it would be. Nintendo has a rule about that. Even if it's only half the case files. There has to be something there for you to play even without an Internet connection.

Yep, playable from cart but how far into the game you can get or how much needs to be downloaded first (I was 20% done when I tried) I haven't got a clue tho.

Right. That there helps me be more accepting of it. No matter what happens, I can play games of basketball in NBA 2K18 indefinitely. From cart. It might only be quick play sessions but basketball is basketball. You can choose any team and play against any team and... that'll work for me.

Same for DOOM. The single player campaign and arcade mode is all long cart, and no matter what we can always play that.

Same for RE Revelations Collection. The first game is always accessible.

Now we know this is true for LA Noire as well. And I imagine WWE 2K18 will allow you to play quick matches from cart.

It's not ideal, but it's far better than "totally unplayable and worthless, might as well toss in a landfill"

This is exactly what I plan on doing for Noire. I only have 13 GB left on the 128 GB card I got at launch and Amazon just had a sale where 128's were going for $30. I plan to move all my lesser played games over to one card to free up space for new games.

So, having cancelled my Rime pre-order I watched a couple of videos of this running on Switch and it looks good so I placed another pre-order. However Amazon UK have delayed it until possibly the 21st.

I posted elsewhere-'Don't expect big print runs for any of the cluster of games releasing physically in November. Part of the reason Doom, La Noire, Rime, Telltales Batman, Farming Simulator, Syberia have all been grouped together partly to save on distribution costs. They're literally sending out boxes with a few of each in.'

That was just for the UK but maybe they're doing similar worldwide.

I learned with Darksiders 2 on Wii U, which went out of print the year after launch. If you want a less popular AAA game on a Nintendo console, get it while the gettin's good
