Download size on eshop size is 14.3GB. the game will obviously have a day 1 patch update. They have used a 16GB cart so it looks like Rockstar haven't cheapened out on the cartridge size. What is coming on the cart is the same as the initial download size listed on the eShop.
Go buy a physical copy of Forza Motorsport 7 in 4K on your Xbox One X. Go on, I'll wait. It's not all on the disc either. It's 100GB. Only half of that can feasibly be on disc.
But Forza is playable from the disc, right? The 4K textures are just a separate, optional download that's pushing the file size beyond what can physically fit on a disc. I think that's a difference. If one day the servers aren't supported anymore, you can still play Forza (for whatever it's worth and not locked behind always-online DRM shenanigans), whereas LA Noire would be completely unplayable. Even DOOM is playable without a download. It's just the MP mode that is missing, which can't be played anyway when the servers are down.
I'm going to get the physical version. I must confess this semi skimmed solution means the game isn't a keeper and I'll probably trade it in once finished.
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
@Lethal Not planning to. My Switch remains SD-card free unless it's the result of lack of save space or patches. And even with 10 retail games now, I barely used up any space.
I like to be prepared. No reason to end up needing space you don't have. Why worry about it later when you can resolve it now?
@Lethal Because flash storage is pretty expensive, but prices drop quickly. Why buy an SD card now when you don't need it (yet), and when it's half the price in a year from now?
lol because the price is not dropping any more than it is now. Why buy an sd card for your phone when it has 32gb of internal storage? Because you know you will need more storage later on.
Hey to each their own. I like to be prepared and not have to make a post later crying that a game came out and I do not have storage to play it. Being prepared is always smarter than not being prepared. But then again I am always prepared for anything I guess. Not just when it comes to storage on the Switch.
And there are 64gb sd cards for like $10. There is literally no reason to not have enough space.
