@aresius Nice one. Hope you enjoy it as much as me. It's one of my favourite games from the last gen, so I'm really enjoying playing it on the Switch.

@Reprise
from the video they said there are a problem of frames jump over to 30 to 33 suddenly and very frequently creating some sort of frame-pacing, but the dev already said they will release a patch(easy to fix at the contrary of frame going down)

Dying Light has not really been on my radar, and I'm a bit overspent this year as it is, but it sounds like it's a port that deserves support so I'll get it sooner than I probably should.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

@aresius Interesting. I can't say I've noticed personally, although perhaps that's the stutters I have noticed every now and again. I'm just starting to watch Digital Foundry's video now. It's good that the devs have already said they're working on patches.

Will wait for more reviews but I'm leaning towards a physical purchase...the DF video was somewhat reassuring

Will the game unlock at midnight? I’m not familiar with pre ordering on Switch.

I am torn. I played this on PS4 years ago and enjoyed it, but never finished it. I got like 3/4 through and was just busy and never came back to it.

But on the 28th Fatal Frame comes out and yes, totally different genre, but it’s just a good Halloween game I am looking for.

I’ll probably end up with both…

@aresius
Thanks. I guess the faq says some third party might release at noon the next day but figured I’d ask. Hopefully it drops tonight, though I still haven’t purchased it. The video posted was very informative and looks good, but I might wait for feedback in this thread.

I do know I enjoyed it and regretted not finishing it.

It’s a luxury to be board on a Monday.

May I request somebody who purchased the game on physical cartridge, verify if there's additional download for this game or is it all (DLC and other stuff) on the cartridge? I can't seem to verify this info whenever I search for it.

I see, great to see all the content from the card... I'm just worried not to get the other stuff (DLC) if I bought a different region of the game for my account... thanks!

@Spanish_Bread Just got my copy and everything is on the cartridge without any updates. The patch is probably some fixes or some textures, languages and stuff.

I put the cartridge in my Switch in airplane mode, completed the Prologue (you need to do this to unlock the Countryside (The Following)) and started the Countryside to see if everything is there. I ran like crazy in there and the zombies were too strong so now I am back in the normal game to level up and explore

It is all there And you get a nice paper map + some stickers and a little handwritten notebook with tips for survival.

Definitely worth it!

@Zuljaras
so how is running with a lot of zombies, and how is the controls ?(gyro included)

aresius

Zuljaras

@aresius The game is running good even with many zombies I watched some hordes and ran past them in the countryside.

I can't say anything about the gyro because I never use gyro controls. I really dislike them so my opinion on that would be very biased.

But for the normal controls I like them. I had to get used to jumping with the R button but it is fine

@Zuljaras
perfect thanks my copy will arrive tomorrow so hard to wait for it !!

Just picked this up at 7:45 am. Downloaded the update, which is 1.2gb, and I'm ready to go!

Seeing how well this game looks and runs, I can't help but think the developers of The Outer Worlds could have done so much better.

Just picked this up at the store. Thought Walmart would have it on sale as they usually do but it was regular price. No biggie though, I'm excited to try tonight.
