Topic: Cadence of Hyrule Question

I've spent quite a bit of time playing the original Necrodancer game and, while I really like it, I'm absolutely hopeless at it. I've never even made it past the first boss.

Is Cadence of Hyrule any more forgiving or is it just as hard?

Yeah there's a setting where you don't have to do it in time with the music which makes it easier, I found it useful for when I am listening to music/podcasts while playing.
