Welp, Playtonics Games probably don't want to have money from someone like that anyway.

30,000 people, always a few crazy ones. I bet there are a few flat-earthers too.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

Someone already mentioned the new goal, but I wanted to put up the actual wording while I was still here because let's face it, these guys are hilarious:

"Like a small child saturated with energy drinks, our Kickstarter campaign just won’t stop movin’ – and it’s clattered through another two stretch goals. And a lounge table.

We’d like to take this opportunity to once again thank you for your wonderful support. But we know it’s not pleasantries you’ve clicked for, it’s our next stretch goal - So bring it on!

First, a disclaimer: We’ve attentively followed your feedback since the Kickstarter launched and we’re acutely aware of the concerns surrounding Kickstarter ‘bloat’. Backers can be assured that the Playtonic team is comprised of vastly experienced game developers, and we’ve carefully planned our stretch feature pledges to ensure that they won’t negatively impact on the creation of our game.

These are very ‘much’ dream extras that with additional budget we’ll be able to add to the Yooka-Laylee package with minimal disruption to our core work.

Our next stretch goal, for example, will allow us to get a bigger office. Wait, that’s not right…

Ahem. Our next stretch goal will allow us to budget an orchestral score and time for our composers to record their music in an ideal environment. Any extra money we raise will of course go towards improving and polishing the game.

Don’t forget to project your questions and ideas at our social channels on Twitter, Facebook and indeed this very Kickstarter page. And thanks again for your amazing support."

To me, it sounds like this is the final stretch goal, and for those crazies that think an orchestrated soundtrack would be a bad thing, maybe we can suggest an alternative soundtrack? Maybe 64-bit to go along with the N64 theme they've been rolling with, thus far?

Bet is for Caviar who claimed the game could possibly earn $10 million. Actually, I will lower his end of the deal to $8 million if he accepts the bet. It makes $8+million he gets $50CDN, if the game earns less than $5 million, he changes his screen name.

I don't want your money, but feel free to just pledge 50 bucks to the KS.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

I'm wondering if the guys working on this game are sitting there with theirs jaws on the floor from the kickstarter thing, or saw this coming. Or both...xD
I mean, I know they're the old Rare, but still...wow. lol

I dunno, it was pretty obvious to me that they'd smash all goals they set. You just have to look at how other Kickstarters have gone when proven developers from yesterday come back with a game in the style that made them famous, and Rare's N64 games were perhaps more popular than everything that's already gone before.

Extrapolating from pledges so far they should be making stretch goals for £25-26 million.

Is this better?

Much. Keep in mind that some of the prizes are gone, so that may slow down the pledges a bit. With that said, I have little doubt they'll be able to smash that 1,500,000 pound stretch goal

Actually, it appears that they've been creating new reward teirs to cover ones they ran out of space for. They had to remake the exclusive T-shirt tier three or four times, already!

Don't they know that the Kickstarter rule is that if a goal has been met, they can't pull their pledges below that goal?

It's not that they want to pull it back under the goal, it's that they don't want to support the project anymore if it comes to that.

For those of you wondering. The only question I have left is how powerful of a computer you need to run it.

You need the permission of the project creators to decline payment. You cannot cancel otherwise once funding is met.

Doubtful. The campaign seems to have pleateued at about a $1,000 per hour. I don't know they'll receive as much as $2 million total, but it'll take a week or more. Once we're in the final 24 hours of donation we might see another $25k pledged, but I think this is the most we can expect.

You do know that's 24,000 a day right? Just by that logic it will get another million.

At the very least, some time tomorrow they're guaranteed to get $2 million at the general rate they're going. Even if it winds up being 11:59 pm.
