Hope you guys liked the quiz show in the Banjo-Kazooie games, because the £330,000 stretch goal has been met!
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
Am I the only one who thinks nintendo should buy Playtonic before microsoft gets there grubby hands on them and ruins them?
I highly doubt they will sell themselves to Microsoft a second time.
I thought microsoft just bought them out. They actually sold themselves to microsoft?
Besides, If Nintendo owned them, Playtonic could go back to Donkey Kong.
Yes, back in the early 2000s, Rare wanted to be acquired by another company. Nintendo declined, so Microsoft took the reins. You can't just buy out a company.

I never played the Banjo games. T.T
Kinda hoping that Microsoft will allow them to show up on the VC, I dunno if they were just saying it just to get them in Smash...but they did say they're fine with working with Nintendo on Rare IPs.

I always thought it was along the lines of Nintendo not renewing rare in time and then Microsoft swooping in and buying them. Probably should've done more research on it.
Yeah I miss typed above. The first goal was to make the game for all systems. It just past 400k US though. That's almost £250,000 now. Almost at the second goal.
I think retro was looking at the US translated page and got messed up. I keep hitting the link and getting either one or the other total.

I will be enraged if they become Microsoft exclusive. I really want this game, and their future games to come to ALL consoles.

As someone else already said, you can't just buy out a company. There needs to be an agreement. And considering what happened last time they went with Microsoft, I don't think we should expect anything like that, again. Personally, I think Nintendo's the only one of the big 3 they'd be willing to partner with, if any.

I know it's silly to think about. I was just hypothetically speaking.

And another stretch goal bites the dust as Yooka-Laylee sails on past the transformations (Mumbo Jumbo) goal and 400k£ (about $600k).
EDIT: Make that two stretch goals! 435£ was nothing so we'll be getting minecart levels, too! Hopefully with some awesome frantic themss from David Wise.
I'm glad that Grant Kirkhope is working on "the spritual Banjo-Threeie". Afrer the disappointing note that Nuts & Bolts left, I'm glad that some people out there are attempting to replicate the fun that the first two Banjo games had.
Backloggery. Now playing: 3D Dot Game Heroes, Donkey Kong, EarthBound Beginnings, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+.
And fast. I don't think she's gonna hold out much longer! Though I do want to say that the things included im the stretch goals this far are all things that Playtonic was likely planning on including from the start and just didn't want to lock themselves into a make-it-or-break-it goal like 1,000,000£ right off the bat.
But it’s not over yet: Crowdfunding will help us increase the scope of Yooka-Laylee, and if we do even better we'll be able to deliver some real dream features like a fully orchestrated soundtrack and simultaneous, physical release on all platforms.
This made me happy. I would love getting me a physical copy.

Most of the Playtonic Staff worked on Nuts and Bolts though. I thought it was a pretty good game. Not as good as the two before it, but not as terrible as it gets made out to be.

I thought Nuts and Bolts was actually a fantastic and extremely innovative game! Its one of my favorite 360 games, and actually the first Banjo Kazooie game I've ever played or owned I had an N64, but never bothered to get Banjo for some reason. Anyway, people were just mad at it because it wasn't a traditional Banjo game. It was like how Super Mario Sunshine is to Mario 64.
Also, a physical Wii U release needs to happen. I would totally be willing to wait a couple months after the game comes out, just to get one too!
