@mauhlin12 Good work. That's an impressive early score. I've not managed to get to Stage 1-5 yet.

Just beat my own previous score using Tengai this time. Got 408, 202.

I haven't had a serious go yet. Just been mucking about seeing what I can get away with lol. Those coins are a nice touch trying to get 2k for them. We doing this challenge with 1 credit?

@GrailUK i think we're doing a standard playthrough, so to me it would be 2 extra credits/2 life per credit... Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong

EDIT: seems like the ruleset was suggested by @Lroy, I've been playing under these rules but feel free to change 'em to your liking (...you're da boss! )

@RetroGamerAndrew Oh I'm the easiest going boss ever then! Lol. 2 lives / 2 credits is fine. Default settings. Difficulty level 5. Alrighty then.

@Oorwullie is the boss here. He'll set the rules for this one if any changes are needed.

Yep as for Tengai, like me and @Lroy suggested before default settings are probably the best way to go for this one with the leaderboards being the way they are. Even with the continues a good run won't take that long. I don't think there is a combo system in this game, so really the highest score at the end of the week will probably be made by whoever goes furthest. A 1 credit completion on normal difficulty, while not impossible it must be pretty close to being

Furthest I have gotten so far is the start of 1-5. How many stages are there again? 1-7?

I’m enjoying this game so far quite a bit. My highest score is barely below 400,000. I wonder if anyone can hit 1 Million in this Challenge??

Thanks for doing the Leaderboards @Oorwullie - Always happy when I hit my Top 5 finish target. Loved, loved playing MOON PATROL as part of this thread. Right up there with PULSTAR as my fave weekly challenge so far.
