Topic: Arcade SHMUP High Score Thread

@GrailUK Still trying to shoot the ships down, trying to not let RNG keep a ship out of my line of fire. But basically I play normal for the first two levels, shooting all the rocks. On the mine level I try to finish between 67-69 seconds. Then I use up the rest of my lives on the beginning of checkpoint "O", with the last life continuing up the hill and trying to down that squadron at the top. Well, that last part is the theory. I've spent the past few days trying to get it all to work, but I only have about an hour to play before going to sleep. This project we're on for my job goes on for like 10-11 hours a day! And I got 2 weeks left to go.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Great scores, grats in particular to @GrailUK. Took me days to get past the mine section, and once I did it once never had problems with it again. Looking forward to the next game!

Hi all, I'm not sure i'll get close to those 30,000 scores but I'm around 18,000 as of last night and want to get in on the fun. I'll post a screenshot later tonight, hopefull with a higher score.

Here’s my score...27850, good for 32nd on the board. This was a fun challenge, congrats to those who made it over 30k!!

Well am afraid I have not fared very well with this one. But really enjoyed my time with this retro game though.

Tengai seems to be another hard beast to master, really struggling to understand hit boxes and when to use bombs. But a really good game, and certainly not short of cleavage as pointed out earlier 😜

What's the crack with the SENGOKU BLADE aka TENGAI weekly challenge then?

Assuming we are making sure all the game settings are left to default: Level 5 Difficulty / Number of own machine 3 / Continue 2 / Extend score 600, 000. Random Level Order.

Miko is best girl confirmed. What I do is use the wheel charge attack, stack a bomb on top of it and get in the boss's face and fire away. Makes quick work of most bosses and her bomb blocks enemy bullets.
