Yeah, pretty much as expected. Nothing shocking here. It does show that the leaks may still be going until April 2nd though. But that's also not shocking.
These are very different from the Joycons we've seen in both the Switch 1 and the Switch 2 reveal trailer, and it doesn't seem like the Joycons can change shape into this. Are they experimenting with an alternate set of Joycons?

No software leaks as of yet, especially for the UI. The only way we’ll know if the Switch 2 will include themes this time is when Nintendo shows it off April 2nd.
At the bottom there are images of some weird angled Joycons (IIRC there was a previous rumor about these). But it doesn't look like the Joycons can be bent into that shape, so what are they?
@MrCarlos46
Maybe. If enough Xbox games will be ported over.
Rare Replay has to be one of them though, right?
And on the PlayStation games side, one can ask itself if it will be easy to port Astro Bot over considering how the game uses DualSense’s features, some of which the Switch 2 doesn’t have. Maybe if they add PS5 controller compatibility support on Switch 2 for this.
And then PlayStation also has to decide if they want to make a Switch 2 port.
@sheztephan Any chance Nintendo will ever consider adding analog triggers to Switch 2 controllers? It’s the only way Forza Horizon could actually be ported to Switch 2 unless they implement Xbox controller compatibility or Xbox designs one to work on Switch 2 using the Switch 2’s buttons and layout.
@sheztephan This is more for the system settings side of things, I was thinking that Nintendo could split the different variants of English, French, Spanish and Portuguese into their own options on Switch 2 like how PS5 does it rather than the selected region determining which variant you use for them. Basically these as their own separate language options:
1. English (United Kingdom)
2. English (United States)
3. Español (España)
4. Español (Latinoamérica)
5. Français (Canada)
6. Français (France)
7. Português (Brasil)
8. Português (Portugal)
Usually for English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, it’s just 2 variants that are mainly made for certain countries but if split into their own system language options on Switch 2, anyone from any country can use them without having to change region:
English (United Kingdom): United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand
English (United States): United States, Canada, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong
Español (España): Spain, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco
Español (Latinoamérica): Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and then any other Latin American country as well as Spanish-speaking areas of the US (including Puerto Rico)
Français (Canada): Canada, particularly Quebec
Français (France): France, Belgium, Switzerland, Algeria, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia
Português (Brasil): Brazil
Português (Portugal): Portugal, Angola
While Dutch, German and Italian do have additional variants too (Dutch having a Flemish variant for Belgium; German having Austrian and Swiss variants; Italian also having a Swiss variant), Nintendo prefers to do the Dutch, German and Italian versions based on their standard variant counterparts from the Netherlands, Germany and Italy respectively. Makes sense as Europe is the only region which has countries with those languages, also so it can be accessible by Austrian, Dutch, Flemish, German, Italian and Swiss people without needing to make separate versions for them.
@MrCarlos46
I'm from Flanders, Belgium, so I speak Flemish Dutch but I have no problem with Netherlands Dutch being the only option. The differences are minor anyway, and I'm sure that's true for most language variations. Besides, I play everything in English anyway.
I don't really see a lack of optional language variations as a big problem myself, but like I said, the more options the better. It just comes down to Nintendo deciding if it's worth the extra effort.

I was thinking Nintendo could start supporting new languages with the Switch 2 and here were the ones to come to my mind:
Actually more languages wouldn’t be a bad idea. It’s the chance for Nintendo to enter more markets in addition to supporting more languages allowing them to reach more audiences, especially in countries where they sell their products through local distributors.
This could also be the chance for Nintendo to officially enter Ukraine and release the Switch 2 and the eShop there, perfect opportunity to introduce the Ukrainian language for the first time on any Nintendo product.
One of the diagrams in those patents suggests when using the joycon in "mouse mode" that the thumb stick has a function (potentially as a scroll wheel). The diagram specifically has the users thumb resting on the thumb stick on both joycons even though the thumb sticks are in different places on a left and right joycon.
