Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

@Punisher67 It's not 'universally agreed' as being a poor presentation. The entitled sooky babies that like to complain at every given opportunity are just the loudest. It happens with almost every Direct.

This direct gave me what I wanted, which was the announcement of the Monster Hunter Switch and Pro Controller for NA finally. Between that, Splatoon 3 and the Smash announcement I'm very happy with that direct.

Yeah there was filler, but the direct had stuff for me anyway so I'm fine with sitting through stuff other people might like too.

Not exactly a scientific poll, but for what it’s worth 54% gave it a negative review to only 38% giving it a positive review. Draw your own conclusions.

I'd call that far from "universally agreed" to be bad still.

@Euler I don’t understand why people who are like “I would take any direct, please just give me a direct!” dislike a direct that ALSO revealed multiple highly-requested games! In that article’s comments, some people said “Oh, I hate this direct. I only enjoy...” and then list a third of the games in the direct. Some Nintendo fans are so picky.

EDIT: Also, it doesn’t make sense to dislike a direct because Skyward Sword HD was announced. You can’t hate a Direct because a game was announced.

Well i chose slightly underwhelmed because from all the talk there was before and the fact they announced it was 50 minutes, i thought there would be more games appealing to me. But in my mind it wasnt that negative. I still have many games i havnt played or finished so i dont care that much.

@BabyYoda71 Uhhh... highly requested games? Sure, Splatoon 3 fits that, and I guess Skyward Sword and Triangle Strategy meet that but... I wouldn't say it delivered many at all. I'm assuming you mean crowd pleasing franchises when you say highly requested btw.

@BabyYoda71 It's just an observation of how people answered a poll, not a commentary on whether or not that direct was really what people should reasonably expect after a year-long game drought.

Although I was personally disappointed by the Direct for not having a single game I'm interested in, I am glad Nintendo held this Direct vs. not having a Direct at all. This way I at least know what to expect for the first half of the year. I prefer this over the uncertainty of the last year.

@-Juice- I dunno, I thought I saw Skyward Sword HD requested a lot in this article and Splatoon 3 as you mentioned was requested. Fall Guys, Miitopia and a few others were requested by a few people here and there.

There was a Direct on 17 Feb 2021.

I think i'm the only one here feel quite relief for not so many upcoming Switch games i can consider on this year because i want to build my PS2 games with Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, Keyboardmania and Drummania games.
Hunting for old Arcade type games to be played at home is a joy during pandemic.

@Euler People that are disappointed are more likely to answer a poll, so it doesn't tell you as much a you would like to think.

@Spanjard It takes two seconds to do, and other direct polls in the past have gone the other way.

@-Juice- Since when is Splatoon 2 recent? It's been almost 4 years and it'll be 5 years when Splatoon 3 hits, which is more than double the gap between Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2.

Pokémon Company anounce a 20 minute Pokémon Presents tommorow at 7.am(remake of Diamond e Pearl coming?).

Pokemon Presents are for pretty much anything except console games

for actual core game news Pokemon Directs are the venue to talk about that
