Is it true the original statement was mistranslated and it's actually 30 minutes long? I saw a comment making this claim, but it's hard to traul through various posts online to verify it.

@Reprise Considering it's focusing on third party Switch games that have already been announced, it makes sense that it's that short... There aren't exactly a lot of them.

@BenAV Yeah, I guess... I just kinda think - and feel free to call me pessimistic and negative - but what's the point then? Just let the publishers and developers do their own thing. The team working on Crysis Remastered have managed to do their own trailers and marketing. We don't need mini directs for it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing these small directs as a series so they can better space out announcements with more control due to the uncertainty brought in by the pandemic. Basically instead of just having a large singular direct every 4+ months that covers a big time period, they’ll spread the announcements out and keep them closer to the release of the actual game. Like a mini direct every 2 months or so that features what games are coming in the very near future. Similar to what they did with Paper Mario. Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if Origami King was them testing that model out.

Makes it so they don’t have to commit entirely until they can be completely confident it will release and a series of mini directs keeps Nintendo in the mind of consumers more consistently.
