@ComradeThom That’s really interesting! Never heard of directs trying to be predicted like that. If that method’s 2 for 2 so far then I think it’s got a decent chance of being correct! You never know though cause Nintendo is Nintendo and COVID has been forcing them to be even more Nintendo than normal, lol. Thanks for sharing!
Yeah! Unless all it is was the "Pokemon Presents" thing. Though I assume the only reason that would affect eshop sales would be because something would shadow drop right after it (aside from the scheduled SW/SH DLC) which would be cool for Pokemon fans, but I'm personally not one of them and was hoping for something a bit bigger.
@Noble_Haltmann I'm not sure, all the Pokemon content suggests if there's other news this month it'll be next week but on the other hand ARMS was released on June 16th 2017 so if the Smash character was timing with the 3rd anniversary, this week seems more likely.
Okay guys, this time I've got it. I sent my Robot ninja maid girls to sneak into Nintendo of Courscant. After evading the New Republic guard, the killed Jedi Master Zelda and retrieved the info about the next Nintendo Direct, which will be on July 19th, right before the United Nations announced first contact with and intent to join the New Galactic Republic of Hyrule.

I'm really happy for all the Pokemon fans who got big announcements this morning, (and are going to get even more same time next week!) and it does seem like Nintendo's done their fair share of reveals for the month now, but I still think something more is coming this week. After watching the part of the Nindie Nation video where they talk about the eshop sales thing for myself, I was under the impression that the reason the sales end right before a direct is dropped is because the eshop is about to be updated with the multitude of games announced at said direct and then shadow dropped right after. The only things that released after the Pokemon presentation were the previously scheduled Isle of Armor DLC and that adorable tooth brushing game that's not even on Switch. Since everything that's actually had "Direct" in the name has been on a Thursday this year, perhaps we'll see something dropped tomorrow? It could just be "Mr. Sakurai Presents: ARMS" (which I'd love!) but again, I feel something bigger is coming because of that eshop sale thing. I know the Nindie Nation dude said it's only happened twice and that he wasn't trying to predict a direct or anything, but... that won't stop me from getting my hopes way too high!😂
So now we get/got 2 Pokemon presentations and 1 Smash presentation within one week. Also other companies like Microsoft, Sony, EA already held their presentations and others have already announced theirs.
I think it's really time now for Nintendo to air their Direct.
I’m going to start a rumour- A Nintendo Direct will air on June 26 and be shadow-dropped. It will confirm Mario remasters and 2D Metroid. Go, spread it in the other threads or however you spread rumours, @NintendoByNature and @mariomaster96!
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
I've been thinking about 2018, we got this for Directs:
January Direct Mini - Revealed the 1st half lineup
March Direct - Revealed some summer games and Smash
Late May Pokemon Presentation (May 30th) - Revealed Pokemon Quest and Pokemon Let's Go
E3 Direct - A glorified Smash Direct which also revealed Super Mario Party
August Smash Direct - More Smash
September Direct - Revealed some 2019 games
November Smash Direct - Even more Smash
Given the hints in this week's Pokemon Presents, it seems next week's Pokemon Presents big announcement is probably Let's Go Johto releasing in November 2020. So I'm leaning towards 1 shadow drop reveal in July or August for release in September or October respectively and then everything else (except Animal Crossing updates and more info on Bravely Default II) is saved for a normal September Direct.
As for the investors meeting, Pokemon would probably be enough for that.
Nintendo has an investor’s meeting near the end of this month and they normally want to have a good lineup of revealed games out there so investors will be confident in their success and want to invest more. At least I think. Anyone feel free to correct me because I’m no business major or anything
