@Grumblevolcano good to know. So yea. I guess late April til I buy a new switch game. With all This time, I actually might go back for my 3rd play through of botw. It's been 2.5 years since i played it. On the side I can play some Wii u vc games..
Something that I did find funny, is that Nintendo re-upload the Indie World video just when it was 40 or 20 dislikes away from reaching 1K in dislikes XD Don't see the problem, as they had like 9K in likes and thanks to the re-upload they also lost those likes 😅
Undergoing games:
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
Interesting Nindies Direct, in that there were quite a few games that I thought "I could be into that", but a lot of them were 'Summer 2020', not a lot coming sooner, so in that respect it didn't do much to quell the current sense that Switch's release schedule is being mismanaged.
But Blue Fire, Last Campfire, Sky, Sky Racket, Baldo, Moving Out, Exit the Gungeon, Summer in Mara... all looked to have potential.
But wtf was The Good Life doing in there? That looked ropey.
So my current prediction is that EITHER BotW2 will get announced for Holiday 2020, or there'll be a port/remaster of another Zelda later in the year instead.
Either Skyword Sword HD, which will just be a fairly basic upres with a few improved textures, or a port of Wind Waker HD.
They really do need something. I have been saying for a while that people have overreacted with the lack of a direct, but still, after Animal Crossing there is only one game for the rest of the year on my "to buy" list for the switch!
So the rumor of an indie Direct this week, followed by a main Direct next week was half true. I look forward to what next week brings. I assume the Direct will mostly be ports and hd remakes as I firmly believe SMT V, Bayonetta 3, BotW 2, and Travis Strikes Back III are all 2021 (or later) games. My only prediction is that Nintendo will announce the first challenger for season two of the SSBU DLC characters.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,540 games (as of January 28th, 2026)
Switch 2 Physical Collection - 4 games (as of December 8th, 2025)
Actually yeah the rumour from Venturebeat was the one that said to expect lots of ports/remasters.
So I guess that is also confirmed then? Well I'm fine with that as long as they're the right ports. I expect Mario 3D World. Hopefully Prime Trilogy too.
I seem to be the only one intrigued by I am Dead. I thought it looked really pleasant, charming, and original.
When it comes to indie games, art style and animation are big factors for me, and I Am Dead did not appeal to me on that front, so it's got some work to do to convince me it's worth playing.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
Last Campfire was the only real standout for me in that IndieWorld, but even that isn’t a must buy. I don’t think any of it was a turnoff, but there was nothing really exciting like a Cross Code, Into the Breach, Undertale or Hyper Light Drifter.
Was kind of hoping for something like Outer Wilds or Disco Elysium, but I guess if they ever do come to Switch, they’ll be in a proper Direct, like Obra Dinn.
Here's the current "no release date" list for Switch games revealed in Directs and the Game Awards (the only upcoming game announced in one of these events with a release date after Friday is Trials of Mana):
January 2017 Switch Presentation - SMTV
E3 2017 Direct - Metroid Prime 4
Game Awards 2017 - Bayonetta 3
E3 2018 Direct - Ninjala
September 2018 Direct - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered
February 2019 Direct - Rune Factory 5
E3 2019 Direct - No More Heroes III, Panzer Dragoon, Empire of Sin, Hollow Knight Silksong, Minecraft Dungeons, Elder Scrolls Blades, DOOM Eternal, BotW 2
September 2019 Direct - Deadly Premonition 2, Rogue Company, Outer Worlds, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
Ports & remakes of Wii/ Wii U games works well enough for me, since I never had either of those, @Magician .... Along with Star Ocean 2nd Evolution, since they did 1st Departure!

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is set for an August release in Japan. According to AmazonJP, the physical release doesn't support English. Based on that, it's difficult to say if August is the global release date, or if the western release will arrive later. Then we have the AmazonES leaked release of date of May 29th for Xenoblade Chronicles DE, although AmazonES info has been incorrect in the past, too often to trust that source unconditionally.

There are so many sales it seems like right now, I’m holding out for the Nintendo Direct next week before i make a sweep of buys.
Looking at getting some classic PS2 games on PS4. For some reason i think the later Dragon Quest games may be coming to Switch, just a feeling given Square’s reveals the past two years. I just don’t think with the later Final Fantasy’s arriving, the Secret of Mana series, the Romancing Saga, that Square Enix would just leave it at the first 3 DQ games and the latest entry.
Looking at the Square Enix sales on Switch too.
For me my Switch is primarily a Nintendo/Sega/Retro/Indie machine, and I rotate out third party games when i start to get tight on space.
CURRENTLY PLAYING
Switch: Xenoblade Chronicles
Playstation 5: Assassins Creed Shadows
