With E3 cancelled, I hope they just bring more things forward into a massive Direct in 2 weeks time. Make this the biggest Nintendo event of the year.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

PAX 2020 last time was really safe from Corona virus epidemic , right ?

@DannyBoi Have you not learned yet that eShop maintenance means absolutely nothing?

Wahoooo Yes. Eshop maintenance. I love it. Can’t wait.

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

Bankaj

My Eshop runs on rubles, glad we get maintenance, definitely could use the stability!

Who here is getting nervous that there is still no direct?

Destiny, justice and retribrution will be mine.

@DannyBoi Not me! I've said it's going to be in early April since way back in January, it was the most logical outcome.

@DannyBoi I can wait. There have been some pretty spicy sales recently so I have a backlog to get through during the radio silence 👌

I will say I'm very impressed by how quick Microsoft were to announce the Xbox digital event after E3 was cancelled.

One of the earliest official E3 is cancelled announcements (3:30pm UK time):

This was Microsoft's announcement of the Xbox digital event (3:54pm UK time):

Less than 30 minutes!

Microsoft has by far been the best this year so far for informing about this year's plans. For Nintendo, nothing happens after March 20th and for Sony it's in between the two as the expected news (PS5) hasn't come yet but other news has come in its place (e.g. Ghost of Tsushima in June).

@Xenomorth Why would Sony say anything? They weren't coming anyways.

We did already get answers from Nintendo, Limited Run, and Warner Bros at least, so that only leaves Ubisoft and Square Enix afaik.

@link3710 Nintendo's answer was kind of a non-answer in the light of the current Direct drought to be honest.

On another note, it looks like the Nintendo Lego collaboration is some kind of board game so makes sense it was revealed outside a Direct.

@Grumblevolcano Well they already announced having a digital event, so they didn't need to reannounce that. As for the show floor stuff and treehouse, no one's given an answer as to what they'll do about that, not even Microsoft.

With the direct drought I ended up buying Owlboy to keep the game flow going. Should carry me into mid April with that added.

Side note for anyone's whos played Owlboy. Pretty good game I hear, ya?
