@Croctopus I’m coping for a shadowdrop or a Future Redeemed-like situation where Side Order drops a week later but one of the worst case scenarios is it coming alongside the Chill Season. But that would likely bring less players to the new season so it has a chance of releasing sooner (please no 2024…). Maybe the Deep Cut amiibos have gear relating to SO, so they’ll make a surprise appearance? The Pearl & Marina amiibos came out after OE and those had their outfits from it which means SO could release earlier or near the Deep Cut amiibos. But that’s just a squid theory!
今回は追加コンテンツの発売予定はないのですが、それはあの世界で遊びを作ることを、やり尽くした感じがあるからです。
We have no plans to release additional content this time because we feel that we have done all we can to create play in that world.
@luckyseven On the bright side, at least the next Zelda will be set in a newly created map again instead of trying to stretch the BOTW one into a trilogy
@Stamina_Wheel the guy is taking the piss out of the article. Don't get why you think he's leaking something, when he's poking fun at the people posting that article. Yes, I know he's a credible leaker, however are we certain that this is even a leak?

@FishyS Only other ninja themed IP I can think of is Mystical Ninja, but unless Nintendo begged Konami to license it for NSO I can't see that happening. Because you know... Konami.
@luckyseven Nintendo still most of the time announces DLC pre-launch so I figured the best chances for TotK DLC was that they'd save it for the Switch's successor to give that console something Zelda before 2029.
With that seemingly out of the question, maybe they decide to revive 2D Zelda like they did for 2D Mario this year?
@PikaPhantom True, wonder if they’re done with the BotW/TotK world now? Maybe it could lead to 2D Zelda or something different @Grumblevolcano Now looking back on it they likely would’ve announced DLC for Tears earlier. A new 2D Zelda would be a refreshing change of pace for the series, or they could just bring TP/WW HD to Switch but that’s not happening yet
The problem with Pokemon being cross gen is that multiplayer is a huge part of its gameplay. Would the Switch version of that game be able to trade and battle with the Switch 2 version of that game? AFAIK, that's unprecedented
It's just bits, it's not like they're going to re-invent WiFi or something. The reason why trading and battling between Pokemon generations is so restricted is because the new generations add new mechanics and Pokemon. Not because the hardware was a restriction. Case and point Sword/Shield vs Scarlet/Violet, X/Y vs Sun/Moon and Diamond/Pearl vs Black/White. Different generations on the same hardware, still had significant restrictions on communications
There's no technical reason why they couldn't do the "third version" of the 9th generation games as cross-gen or new hardware exclusive. If you want precedent for that then it's worth noting that Crystal was GBC only

I'm once again predicting Metroid Prime 4, which is still coming out on the Switch.
Absolutely. It gets me that there's anyone who thinks it wouldn't be. Nevermind all the 'Nintendo's not your friend, they just want your money' stuff and nonsense, Nintendo operates with a certain degree of integrity, and Metroid Prime 4 has been listed consistently in the company financial reports as a Nintendo Switch product. That's all there is to it as far as I'm concerned.
You guys had me at blood and semen.
What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?
@FragRed I mean, Goemon is such a forgotten gem that I'd be happy for any kind of version of it. I'd prefer a remaster that fixes the game's point of no return.
@RR529 The Goemon spiritual successor isn't ninja themed though (the main character is a tanuki drummer, not a ninja). That can't be what they're referring to.
@Grumblevolcano I doubt they're saving TotK DLC for the switch successor. I believe Aonuma when he says they have nothing planned in terms of DLC for TotK, and that they're going to focus on making a new game. The game itself is 70 dollars, and on top of that it has a ton of content already. It started as DLC ideas which later got fleshed out into a full product.
Not to mention, this is just another Mario Odyssey situation. People think Nintendo is making DLC for a game, only for them not to since they believe the game itself is good as is, and they have no remaining ideas for how to expand upon it. Nintendo also usually announces DLC before a game releases, instead of after the release of a game, or if it's after it's usually a month or so after launch.

Maybe Grezzo has been working on something new for Nintendo Switch?
They recently released Jet Dragon on Apple Arcade but that looked more like a side project for them.
I know it's unlikely, but a port of or sequel to Ever Oasis would be great.
