Topic: Next Nintendo Direct?

I said from beginning.
When I felt completely turned off from first impression, that means I hate the things.
Also, even without playing FF XV, the game itself was already disaster from being incomplete and not even felt like classic Final Fantasy games from the review I heard.
The future of Final Fantasy games just going downhill as the veteran artist left from SquareEnix and SquareEnix keep ruining their Final Fantasy franchises with very controversial business practice (look at Chocobo Racing GP with micro transactions on it) and the ideas to make the games become grittier and more mature, something that made me even hate the franchise.

This FF debate is quite interesting, very two sided yet I side with both arguments being made.

@Kermit1 Yeah I've gotten into about a billion arguments with this guy in the past and it never goes anywhere so I just dropped it lol

@StarPoint I tend to side with him, most of the time. (not all the time, but most, like 3/5 times)

Yep, I'm not going to bother arguing with him about that stuff, @StarPoint .... I'm loving FF VII Intergrade on Steam, though!

@kkslider5552000 Treasure made Gunstar Heroes and Sin & Punishment if I'm not mistaken? 🤔

Correct. That's probably their most well known games in hindsight (depending on how forgotten Wario World is or isn't).

I'm super excited we might finally get a remake or sequel to McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure!

But seriously, Gunstar heroes is one of my favorite games ever and I consider Ikaruga an example of a "perfect" game. I AM ALSO SUPER EXCITED FOR WHATEVER THEY ARE WORKING ON!

Plus maybe the anouncment will coincide with a direct.

Konami has been trying to outsource their IPs lately.
Maybe Treasure is working on Gradius VI? That would be a dream come true.

It wouldn't be made by Treasure, but sure that would be nice. The more diversity in games, the better.

So now I'm just wondering what this means, if anything, for a general Direct. Maybe Nintendo is just getting the Xenoblade stuff out of the way so it doesn't have to have a huge part of the Direct? Or are they going to do this with some more upcoming games, like Splatoon 3?

@StarPoint You might be right. Both Xenoblade 2 and Splatoon 2 had their own separate directs in 2017. It's probably gonna be like this again this year.

@StarPoint I'm trying to remember whether we've ever had a general Direct before/after a game-specific Direct before. Maybe with Splatoon but that feels like me creating a memory more than anything.

@Fizza There's been a few times of Pokemon very close to a general Direct but TPC mostly does their own thing. Outside Pokemon I think the closest would probably be that 2020 we had a Partner Showcase about a week before the Mario Direct.

@Grumblevolcano I just remembered: we technically had that Animal Crossing Direct after the September 2021 Direct, in addition to the final Smash reveal. Now, granted, both of those were announced in said Direct but it still technically counts.
