Topic: Nintendo Music App

Bit annoyed as I've guessed this quite a few times in the past but hey, it was always going to happen soon or later lmao.

An iconic soundtrack but did they really need to do all 4 seperate raceways much like @Eel 's gem of a playlist points out.
My only guess is so it feels like you're 'playing the game' in the music app.

Well ok then, feel like everybody was predicting this week's ago. Bit of a bust for me this week, I've had fun with MK64 but I don't have any love or nostalgia for it's soundtrack.

Personally, I'm pretty confident that it's because they are hesitant to include much that isn't playable on the current hardware including via the NSO subscription.
The fact that the app recommends me soundtracks for games it knows I've played feeds into this theory for me.

I realized something today. You get repeated songs from choosing all tracks.

All tracks. That's not for all in the soundtrack, that's for all the racetracks in the game.

I want to believe they did this purely for this joke. Please tell me they did something stupid because it would be a pun. I would be so happy if that's what happened.

Tbh, I almost wouldn't mind if they did this for Kirby's Dreamland 3 or DKC. They have a similar issue ("issue") where the last worlds of those games have one and zero new songs before the final boss, respectively. Especially for Dreamland 3 where most of the music shows up in the first two worlds, so its not like experiencing the game while listening to the music as much as listening to the increasingly rare first occurrence of a new song. Also both soundtracks are so awesome I'd actually likely not mind hearing repeated songs.

I assume they do it like that for playlisting purposes.

For example, you can find Royal Raceway in the Princess Peach playlist, and Luigi Raceway in the Luigi playlist (twice!).

They’re the same song, but the name and icon make them character themes.

My prediction for this week is Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. There's Pokemon Presents this week and Let's Go was the last mainline entry whose soundtrack was released on places like iTunes. Since then:

• Sword/Shield (added to Nintendo Music)
• Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl
• Legends Arceus (added to Nintendo Music)
• Scarlet/Violet (added to Nintendo Music)
• Legends Z-A (the game hasn't released yet)

My guess is either the original Mario Party, Mario Party Superstars, or Super Mario Party Jamboree, since the last one will be getting a Switch 2 edition this week.

Actually, come to think of it... last week's soundtrack was Mario Kart 64, so I'm not sure if Nintendo wants to add a Mario soundtrack for two consecutive weeks. So if it's not Mario Party, my secondary guess would be Pokemon Red and Blue, going by the upcoming Pokemon Presents.

Since it has been a while since the last Wii game, and three weeks since we last had a Switch game, and Bananza just came out, I will guess Donkey Kong Country Returns, Returns 3D, and Returns HD. I know that we just got Ocarina of Time 3D, but they might as well drop the soundtracks for all 3 versions of the game at the same time.

I'm gonna predict....

I'm gonna go with Pokèmon I think so I'll say either Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl or Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee

Repeating my previous guess of some combination of the original arcade DK games or DK94.
While Pokémon seems like a sensible choice, every Pokémon Presents I expect some sort of NSO update and we never/rarely get them there.

Still gonna guess Tropical Freeze, absolutely banger soundtrack!

I’m still confident in Metroid, I really do think there will be one this month. Metroid 2, Prime 2, Super, and Dread all feel like very likely options.

I’m also feeling DK, specifically DK64. We need DK rap!

Why not just Jamboree music? I totally forgot the Jamboree DLC was this week.

If there was going to be a soundtrack today, it would've come out by now. Hmm... ❓️

I guessed DK Jr Math last week so I will appropriate this as a win.

A whole bunch of NES/Famicom tracks. Neat, and having 26 isn't too bad - better than uploading them all one-at-a-time.
