Top Five (Restricted to just new tracks.)
1. Skyah- Say what you will about the kiddy theme song, but it still sounds great in instrumental form!
2. Skyah (Alt)- That trumpet!
3. Mount Amberfalls
4. Airtopia Ruins
5. Cyberion Highway
Of course there's many others I like too, such as Steamgust Forge, Cyber, and boss themes such as VS. Zero Two, VS. Noir Dedede (Final), and VS. Gigantes.
What game was Light and Fire from? I don't think they're new. They're two of the tracks I play in City Trial.
Look, it's a great sound track, but getting it three times now is a tad annoying lol! I'll give it a listen on my drive home from work, as per the norm.
I find it a bit strange that we're already getting the soundtrack for this game while Forgotten Land still doesn't have the new music from the Switch 2 edition.
This might've just been a special case because of the interview, but it certainly makes me hope for Kirby: Star-Crossed World, Donkey Kong Bananza and, yes, Mario Kart World also coming sooner than expected.
I was wrong about Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour being the first Switch 2 soundtrack, after all. There is hope!

At least the second time didn't eat up a weekly release slot! Like the poster under you points out, Forgotten Land is probably more annoying with how it already stole two weeks, and will probably occupy a third once we get the DLC tracks.

Oh man.
I didn't make it through the full Top Tracks playlist (my commute is long, but not that long haha), but I've already got a ton of new songs in my Favorites playlist! I wish I enjoyed the gameplay of KAR, because I need an excuse to listen to this OST more lol! It's soooo good — I really like the Menu theme, to pick one in particular.
Although (despite my predictions) I was sort of hoping for an older and smaller title this week as, with Mar10 Day round the corner, I've been keeping my fingers crossed for a 3D World drop soon.
Thought I'd report a change I noticed with the app yesterday!
I've complained about offline functionality of this app a few times, it's never really worked properly for me. Playlists allow me to play individually downloaded songs, but if I try shuffling, it'll stop after the current song, telling me to reconnect. I would also be hit occasionally by bouts of unfixable stuttering, despite being a downloaded song - going offline would fix the problem until the song ended, wherein the first problem would kick in. I experienced both of these issues as recently as last month, on the night Origami King released; I even ran a test that night by trying to start a shuffle while offline, and sure enough, it wouldn't let me play.
Yesterday, I had a period of about 20 minutes where my service went down while I was listening to the app. But something odd happened... the offline player actually WORKED??? The app continued running through my shuffle without a hiccup, playing about half a dozen songs until my internet went back up. I tested this more thoroughly later, intentionally disconnecting mid-shuffle and starting a shuffle while offline - they both worked flawlessly!
Another odd thing I noticed later on yesterday was that several of my songs were no longer downloaded. Not a lot of them, like one out of fifty, but they were songs that I had definitely downloaded before, and it was enough that all of my playlists had the "downloadable" icon. No big deal to redownload, but I thought that was strange, I've never seen this behavior before. Could this be related to the offline changes I've experienced?
Anyway, this is a great development! One of my biggest complaints with this app was the s****y offline functionality, so I'm very happy that they've seemingly fixed it! (Or that it fixed itself, idk lol. There wasn't any update recently, so this is very weird.)
EDIT: I did update my phone a couple of days ago (basic security update though), could it be that? I really don't know otherwise lol

@Robot99 I'm not sure about everything else, but as fast as songs not being downloaded: if you don't listen to a song for a long while, then the download will expire — basically you have to reconfirm the download before you can listen to it.
@CaleBoi25
They were definitely songs that I had listened to recently though. I've never had a download "expire" before, but interesting to know, noted!

I don't really bother with "downloading" songs on apps like Nintendo Music or YouTube Music (which needs the YouTube Premium subscription that I don't have anyway 😜). They never seem to stay downloaded.
If I really, really like a song on Nintendo Music, I just obtain it for offline usage myself through... never mind. 😏

@Nep-Nep-Freak ah, a fellow mp3 user? 👀 You may be interested to hear about my project..... (For those who don't know, I am currently cataloguing every single song in MKWorld, giving them the proper nam, and making them sortable by game, genre, run time, and more!)
@Robot99 huh, that's odd! I'm not sure what would cause that then.... I have noticed playback is much smoother tho!
@CaleBoi25, mp3 for music and mp4 for videos for the win. 🎉

They do, actually. I've used the app in airplane mode while going on plane trips, and my downloaded music is still there. They play just fine, too. You can download playlists that you've created, as well.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Looked into the claims that downloaded tracks work better recently and it appears to be true. When they added Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, they also changed every track's data to list the download version before the streaming version. What I assume is happening here is that it pulls this data whenever you're connected to a network and attempts to play the first listed version, which was the streaming one until a week ago
