Well at least there's actual news of sorts with the NX report. That maintenance might actually be for the new membership service since "using Nintendo Network ID" is down. I don't think that's ever happened before in a maintenance.

I should point out that we still don't know what the news is from Rogersbase.

I'm pretty sure "within the next two weeks" always included up until the 23rd. I don't know why people are suddenly dissing him when his timeframe isn't even over yet.

Edit: Rogers deconfirmed that his "news" referred to either NX or Twilight Princess HD.

It's Smash related...

My wildest hope is that Capcom and Nintendo teamed up and created a Steel Samurai TV show and game series that'll be aired world wide with a whole bunch of merchandise.

Honestly, I'm betting 1) it's not as exciting as he's making out, or 2) It is something that the data-miners discovered, he just can't confirm it until it's officially revealed.
