Topic: YOUR Gaming Fail Moments...........

I remember playing Twinsen's Odissey on PC, after i passed through a very difficult area, i saved the game while i was falling on another ground. The problem is that there was bad guy below Twinsen and he died. Every time i loaded that save state, Twinsen died and i had to load a older save state to continue the game.

The first time I played Guitar Hero, I tried to strum with the wammy bar...

Portal: those damn turrets nailed me when I put a portal at the wrong place. In front of me.

I've accidently jumped or skidded to my death after beating a Koopa kid many times. The worst is when I'm making Mario do a victory dance.

My worst one was defeating the boss of Jungle Zone on Sonic the Hedgehog for Master System then, with the coast to the exit clear, mistiming my jump and plummeting to my death. That was over 15 years ago and it still hurts.

I suppose this is technically a fail as I was doing it wrong, but also an achievement in a way. In the N64 days, while playing OoT, not finding the Red Goron Tunic and making it to the Fire Temple by jumping off the cliff above it. I narrowly missed the lava and had to run into the temple where I was greeted with timers in most rooms I went in. What resulted was me having to rush through many rooms while being timed which ended up being quite challenging, but I beat it and the entire game without ever finding the Red Goron Tunic. Try it if you dare.

I spent many many hours trying to beat the running man as my backup OoT fail. I didn't know it couldn't be done. Stupid running man!!

Mario Galaxy 2: I hit an enemy and got knocked backwards, fell off the edge and got sucked into a black hole. On the first star.
LoZ TP: Got to the second fight against king Bulbin on the Bridge of Hylia.... without any arrows.
Mario Kart: I get hit by my own items 75% of the time.
Metroid Prime: I fell into the lava in that big room in Magmoor Caverns, and got pwned by the turrets.
In any game: I walk off a freakin cliff...

Paper Mario TTYD: I've had plenty of fail moments in this game, but none as devastating as this.
I was doing the pit of 100 trials. I made it to level 100 and was beating the final enemy. Once he was under 10 life, he attacked me with the breath that makes you fall asleep (and of course I had barely any life left), and finished me off with a smash...

SSMB: Some how my sister beat me... SHES 6 FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!

Super Mario Bros: Made it to the final Bowser (last life) then ran right into one of his hammers.

I've been playing Warhawk recently but I'm really new to the game while most of the players have been on it for years now. I hopped into a jeep and another player thought it'd be a good idea to hitch a ride with me but I'm unfamiliar with the maps and ended up driving us both off a cliff. The guy probably wasn't very happy with me.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: I got to the the final final Bowser fight and died.

On SSBB online, I played against my friend, It was sudden death, and we were both pretty good, so it was intense (we live close so there was no lag). Sudden death had been going on for a while and the bob-ombs started falling. A couple seconds latter I hit my friend, and he did the thing where you flip out in the back, and evevtntually vanish and die. Then, a bob-omb hit me and I died right before my friend vanished off into the stars.

When I was 5, I tried to catch a Pokemon that belonged to a Pokemon trainer in Pokemon Blue.

I was working on a flipnote recently for about 2 hours... then I accidentally pressed the power button on my dsi, without saving the flipnote... I was like, Wtf nintendo and your squishy"easily pushable" power button! RAWR!! all that time wasted...

I was also playing De Blob once and in one level, de blob was stuck between two bush-like plants... I was forced to turn off my wii, erasing all the UNSAVED data...

Another FAIL moment I had was when I was playing Dance Dance Revolution Supernova and I slipped on the dance pad, nearly causing me breaking a leg. More of a sad thing than of a fail.

LESSON LEARNED: Save your current gameplay status in any video game atleast every 3 minutes or so... and dont purchase cheap dance pads from a yard sale that only costed you 10 bucks!!!!!

I do that EVERY TIME I play that game D;

In Pokémon, devising the perfect strategy to defeat some particularly tough Elite 4 member (for example), and then ballsing it up by sending out entirely the wrong Pokémon. "Next is Charizard! I'll send out Ampharos, Power Gem will kill it!" sends out Typhlosion. Then I end up having to let Typhlosion die just to give Amphy a safe switch-in :V

EDIT: Also having Sacred Ash. Getting nearly to the end of the Champion battle, with 5/6 of my team KO'd. BUT THAT'S OK, SACRED ASH WILL RESTORE THEM ALL!

Awwww snap. Sacred Ash cannot be used in battle.

I have had many over the years but the one that stands out the most in my mind is back when I use to play the MMORPG Dungeon & Dragons Online. One night after running some dungeons with some friends on my 12th level Paladin which at that time was the level cap I ran into a vendor to repair my equip, Only thing is I hit the sell all button instead of the repair all button next thing I know my character is as naked as a newborn baby, everything was gone all my weapons all my items all my armor that took me six months of playing time to aquire. I was so upset that I didnt touch the game for a week oh and by the way this was before they added the "buy back" button.

One time I was playing Brawl with my brother, and it was a really close match. I got a Smash Ball, but then I realized that if I used it on him, he would say I won just because of that, and not because I'm better than him. I turned around so I wouldn't hit him, jumped, and pressed B.

I was playing as Marth.

Was playin MK3 on my SNES, and when I preformed a friendship on my sister as a finisher, the game somehow allowed the players to keep on fighting. My sister is punching me while the game is going "Friendship, Friendship!"

Very rare indeed, have only done it twice in my life.

my gc memory card got corrupted, lightning hit my house, and my wii's motherboard got fried (aka i lost all of my data). when i was like 3, and i couldn't read i deleted my n64 ssb data, after my gc mem card got corrupted, i got all the chars in melee again, and then accidental deleted. I broke the whammy bar on my gh controller, my wii ate my super mario galaxy 1 (which i got on sale, and then had to buy a new one for full price). in ddr mario mix, i broke the down arrow on my friend's dance mat. somehow my chair leg got on top of my friend's cod: waw for wii, and i snapped the disc when i sat down, my cat broke my ds phat, by knocking it off a table.

i have a lot more incident's, but the list would be too long. btw these are all physical gaming fails, not in game fails.

buying a DSi

• When i got to Mewtwo in Pokemon Firered, i had 99 ultraballs. By time i caught him, i had 8 left. I was so happy and decided to save knowing my Karma, something stupid would happen. I tried saving the game AND bringing in 5 bags of grocerys to the house thus resulting into me tripping while in the middle of it saving. The game cart fell out and i knew i was doomed. Thank the holy Farore that it somehow saved the game though.
• I was playing an intense match in Brawl with my cousin and i was recovering as lucas. After the PK thunder hit me, i was proppeling back to the stage and blew up randomly. I later looked at the replay and paused right before i blew up. It was a motion sensor bomb that happened to spawn at the perfect moment.
• Getting a blindly made "Stuck" in Modern Warfare 2 on Highrise. In the exitement, i was walking backwards and fell off the building.
• Once it was raining and i was running to the car trying not to get wet with my PSP in hand. As soon as i got into the car, the PSP fell right inbetween where the door shuts. 2 seconds later CRAAAAAAAAACK
• Attempting to go down stairs with a huge metal case that held my gamecube and DS phat at the same time.
• Opening my DS lite. AKA hinge crack!
• Putting my DSi in my pocket.
• In Pokemon Crystal, I put a Poliwag in the Daycare center. Everytime i went to go get it out, the price was too much money and i couldn't get it. By time i got the money, the price went up again. This went on two more times and resulted into me restarting the game from scratch
