Aww, come on. The name "Ryu" is so awesome. Also, he can turn into a freaking dragon!

it is a good name... but there's so many.... after two have claimed it, other series's need to stop. although, now that you say that dragon part... he may be one of my favorites.... of course i may be biased, as the character was obviously based on me.

Ryu is awesome, and that Agni dragon form in Breath of Fire is super wicked!

I enjoyed breath of fire 2. Never played the first one though.

That transformation is one of the best looking in the whole series.

I was a little let down by Breath of Fire II. I thought it was a bad (and tedious) sequel to one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I haven't beaten II, yet, but I have to (I just have to get the motivation again).

@StarBoy: You kidding me? Breath of Fire II PWNS BoF I in every way! I like them both, sure, but BoF II FTW!

I guess maybe my hopes were a little too high. But, if I had to, I'd give it more of a fighting chance now.
It's not a bad game, though. I guess it was just hard for me to keep going with that game.

Okay, I do have to admit BoF II suffers ONE horrid flaw: Unlike BoF I, only characters you use in battle gain experience. This wouldn't be a problem if the game was free with who you can play as at any given time. But there are parts in the story where you HAVE to play as certain characters, and if they're not sufficiently leveled up, you're screwed! A friend of mine got stuck in the game because he didn't level Sten as he went, and couldn't do anything at the part where you play as Sten by himself. Definitely something to watch out for.

I think the reason I felt the way I did about BoF 2 was because I was little too biased towards BoF 1.
I just played some BoF 2 again just now, and I totally was cool with how it was this time. Maybe I just didn't have an open mind when I played BoF 2 before. I promise to change that. Of course, Sten is a cool/slick character (albeit a monkey); and it took me awhile to beat his "friend", what's his name (I forget).

I'm more of a Mario fan than a Sonic fan now. I also like Luigi a lot better than Mario or Sonic. The PSN ID matching up to my username does not matter to me much.

Well, it matters to me. I have too many confusing non-matches as it is. Who the heck is MrPink78? Damned if I can remember. See what I'm saying? Like me...I'm Stuffgamer1 anywhere and everywhere you could hope to find me online. Nice and simple that way. I can appreciate liking Luigi more than Sonic (anyone with good sense does, IMO), but the username changing is still kind of awkward.
