Okay, well to switch things up a bit what games do you think are UNDERATED 🤔 please tell me!

i dont htink any games are overrated they all get there proper score. like 50/100 or 70/100 or 100/100.

@Apportal Pikmin 3 is overrated

Stardew Valley. I know everyone raves about it, but I keep trying it and finding it boring. I appreciate the work the developer has done and how he keeps providing updates but for me it's a slog.

Overrated games? I usually do a *****-ton of research before buying any game, but I'll bite:

God of War 4 (Combat is fun, story and setting are pretty dumb and pervasive)
Last of Us (Never understood the hype, I got bored really quickly and I didn't enjoy it)
Shadow of Mordor/War (Dumb... dumb... so freaking dumb... ugh)
Ys Lacrimosa of Dana + Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (They weren't bad games by any account, but the hype was really... too much. Good games, but let's not confuse those with masterpieces)

@Dark_Magician I really enjoyed Pikmin 3 actually. The controls were far better than the first 2 IMO. But I respect your opinion.

@k8sMum I’m not a big fan of farming games to begin with 😂 (Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon) I’d rather play a nice puzzle or play former than grow carrots 😆 thanks for your opinion.

Most Mario games are overrated. Bla bla bla important milestones and what not, but they have become so average at best.

Fortnite is overrated and Ninjala is underrated.

I find a lot of SNES and Wii U games to be overrated. A lot of games from those two console are endlessly praised for being "groundbreaking" and "creative" but the gameplay mechanics of those games don't particularly stand out that well compared to other entries in their respective series. As far as some specific examples:

-Super Mario World
-Super Metroid
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
-Super Mario 3D World
-Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
-Yoshi's Woolly World

@Apportal i did buy "bit trip saga" on "3DS" after they said in "nintendo official magazine" that it was a good game ( cost 20 euro ). it is the worst game i ever played, dont buy it. ( i'm just guessing here ) that maybe they took gameplay out of it, which they have done with games before.

I liked DK, but I had much more fun playing the other 4 released before it. I can’t stand Super Mario World. It was so confusing and the controls were so weird! The other 4 on the other hand are actually some of my favorite games ever 😂 especially Super Metroid.

The recent Donkey Kong Country games. Return and Tropical Freeze. I loved the SNES DK Country games but I just couldn’t get into the new ones. Others games would be Last of Us and any Final Fantasy game. Can’t get into those either.

If there is one thing I have learned in life, it's that no matter what your opinion is - someone is always going to be there to tell you how wrong you are and why you should feel bad about it.

Who cares what other people think? Play the games you enjoy, don't play the games you don't. And if people give you a hard time, tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine and find some real friends.

I thought Sonic Mania was a bit of an overrated game. I certainly don't think of it as a bad game at all but I just couldn't really get into it. Most of the levels were from previous 2D sonic games and so I wasn't as excited to play some of the levels when they appeared, even when they would add new elements to them. My favorite moments were when I got to play the new zones and it made me wish there were more than 4 of them. I think it's a good game still but I hope if they make a Sonic Mania 2 or any new 2D Sonic game, that they give us 12 original and brand new zones instead of 4 new and 8 old!

@C-Chakra hey I agree with you. I think it's a fine game, I even own a physical copy of it, but it got a lot of publicity and praise. My guess is that it was a lot of people's first experience with narrative dissonance.
