I still to this day remember scenes from OOT and MM. and I haven't played those games since they were first released.
I totally agree and those are two masterpieces and I'd add Twilight Princess HD which I really love. There are many issues about BotW, the whole inventory management especially armours, the pause-and-eat-or-drink-to-keep-playing mechanics, the reiterative rain vs. the focus on climbing (and falling), the shallow NPCs and side stories, the main story, every single boss battle (the best is in the DLC)...
The thing about Super Mario Odyssey is that it's so brief and easy that it doesn't feel like a Mario adventure in spite of the cutscenes but a walking simulator with light platforming. The moons are a chore, they aren't fun. The boss battles are uninspired but as always Bowser is the highlight. I miss the Koopalings.
Mario Kart 8 - Sorry, but every race result basically just comes down to complete luck as to whether you have the right items to defend yourself with. Not fun.
@RainbowGazelle nice listings! I never played The Last Of Us, but in my opinion it really doesn’t look that good. And CTR is my personal choice over MK8 😂
