@BenAV I FC’ed a song called Sage on Expert difficulty. The song is apart of this small collaboration the game did with another rhythm game called Gekichumai, and songs from there have intentionally hard charts and are hard to FC.

Sage’s difficulty level on Expert (the difficulty I play on) is 29, which is one of the higher and most hardest levels to play on. I usually struggle with songs that are level 29 or higher, but I played that song a lot and I almost always got close to FC’ing it, but I always messed up near the end with these small notes that were placed in a stair-like pattern, but this time I luckily got it!

@Pastellioli Good job. I've played Sage on Expert a fair bit due to it being one of the popular tiering songs but that ending bit still trips me up more often than not as well. Level 29 is where most songs typically get a bit fast for my poor thumbs as well haha. I'll give them a crack if I'm not too tired but I've only managed FC on Sage Expert and three songs on Master so far.

@BenAV Thank you

I agree! It was only really the ending notes on that song that made it hard for me to FC it. I struggle the most with charts that place notes in stair patterns. There is another song called The Bubble Future, which is an easier song, but I can’t FC it because it throws in a bunch of stair pattern notes at the end. It annoyed me a bit when i couldn’t get FC on that one, mainly because it’s an easy song.

When it comes to Expert difficulty, I like to play songs that are level 26-27. It’s when it gets to level 28 and higher that I usually struggle when playing. I have FC’d some level 28 songs, but it’s so hard to continuously get FC’s on them, like Invisible, Haikei Doppelgänger, and AMARA (The Great Intelligence). It’s so hard to keep up with the notes on those three songs, but I find Haikei Doppelgänger was easier compared to the other two.

Master difficulty is super hard for me. I do like playing it a bit. but the charts really mess me up a lot and it’s so hard to keep up with what’s going on the screen, and usually I find my timing gets thrown off if I play Master for too long. I’ve still been trying to FC the Master chart for ENVY BABY but I get so thrown off by the long tap notes a lot. Though, I really like some of the chart gimmicks on Master charts, especially Kyoufuu All Back, especially since the chart gimmicks and images on the chart reference the music video for the song.

@Pastellioli I think I can picture the part you're talking about in The Bubble Future haha. I've got FC in all the level 25 songs, think by far the hardest one for me was Rin-Chan Now!

I've got a few Expert 28 FCs but not those three yet funnily enough. kitty was my first level 28 FC.
I've also done M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥︎ SHOT! which I don't understand why it's 28 as it feels way easier to me and Brain Fluid Explosion Girl.

I don't have FC on Envy Baby on Master yet either. I feel like it'll be doable if I'm in the zone when I play it but it's certainly not the easiest 28.

The more I play The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy the more I am intrigued by the plot. They tell you a lot about what’s happening very early, so I’m wondering how they’ll mold that together with other narrative bits that don’t seem obvious, or subvert your expectations.

@BenAV Yeah, I’ve tried a lot of times to get an FC on The Bubble Future but I’ve given up haha. Rin-Chan Now! was an easy FC for me at first, but it’s super hard to play right near the end.

Those three are hard, Invisible is super hard, mainly from this part where there’s a super short hold note immediately followed by a tap note. I almost always get an FC until I get to that part. And yes, M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥︎ SHOT! feels super easy…it’s probably the easiest level 28 song I’ve played and it would’ve been more fitting if it was a level 25-26 song instead. Brain Fluid Explosion Girl is one of my favorite charts. It was hard at first, but it’s easy since it’s just a lot of tap notes for most of it.

For me I find that song is easy for the most part besides the long tap notes that they place. It keeps throwing me off, not to mention it happens twice in the song, so I always use two fingers when tapping when that usually ends my FC streak.

Laika Aged Through Blood (Switch). When I first got wind of this game it really intrigued me by its unique style of play. I'm not the biggest fan of "metroidvanias" but there was something about it that just kept calling. I'm trying to be more open to those 'out of left field' ideas for games. I decided to move it up the backlog list and give it a go.

Yes, any criticisms in regard to the controls are valid. They can be very difficult to adjust to. You really have to give it time (could be up to hours of playing) to get the hang of things. With our personal time for games being less and less I completely understand why anyone would just drop it and move on to something more familiar and/or accessible. However, if you stick with it and understand that this game DEMANDS that you play it their way...it can one hell of a time! The exploring, the shooting, and straight up feeling badass when you take out the bad guys in style never gets old. The story is VERY dark and for mature audiences. Yes, it can be annoying at times to die from not landing the bike just slightly off but there's an abundance of saves throughout. Also, some bosses will really test your patience but totally worth the feeling of accomplishment once you conquer it. And the soundtrack...holy sh*t it has to be up there will (if not better) than major motion pictures! Brilliant and emotional!

With limited gaming time it takes me a lot longer to complete game(s) so I believe I still have a long way to go to finish. So far, I've gotten a lot better with the controls but there's still a lot of times I crash out. However, the story and gameplay are so good I just love trying again and again to keep moving things along. If you're looking for something unique and challenging I highly recommend it!

This fire is burning and it's out of control. It's not a problem you can stop it's Rock and Roll!!!

I'm playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on PC Gamepass and am 100% in love with it. It's what turn based RPGs have been missing for years.

I'm just taking my time through this gem and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD and am hoping that will take me all the way up to June 5th for day 1 of Mario Kart World.

I just reached Day 9 in The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy. The story is picking up and I like the direction things are going. I am curious if the game will force you to play all 100 days, or if there will be a jump in calendar days at some point. I’m 7 hours in already and I don’t want to get burned out. I’m curious to see how they continue to make the game feel fresh as time goes on.

One thing though, I’m not vibing with any of the characters except for two. I find the rest incredibly annoying. I’m sure they will get better once you build up your relationship with them, and you unlock their true side.

Right now I'm playing through Mega Man Battle Network 6. It's the last game in the Battle Network series, and the version I'm playing is Cybeast Gregar. Took care of the first two bosses (the boss fight music is amazing, might I add) and got my first cross transformation (HeatCross). Having a great time with the game. The scene where MegaMan absorbs the Cybeast still gets me... not gonna lie.

I decided to pick up Trails through Daybreak on the Switch. I own it on PS5, for to the third chapter, but set it aside because I got busy with life. I’ve been in the mood to replay it, but I’ve been traveling a lot more than usual, so I thought I’d get it on the Switch. I’m not that far — just finished the prologue — but it’s as good as I remember, if not better. Van Arkride is a great character in this long running franchise.

I picked up Labyrinth of the Demon King since the review was solid. I’ve played about two hours of it so far and it’s really interesting. The act of walking can feel a bit stiff, but everything else seems solid.

Having the best time playing Freedom Planet on PC (also have it on Wii U) lately, played through Lilac's adventure and completed it. Also been playing Time Attack mode just to replay levels I like, not really to speedrun through them.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

Recently been playing Disney Speedstorm on Switch, enjoying the Lilo & Stitch events the game has going on. Also, been playing Jagged Alliance on PC for some turn-based battles, and dabbled with its sequel Jagged Alliance 2 for a bit (especially since GOG updated it for its preservation program and it's working better now).
