Been playing Okami recently. This is a game I've known about since it came out on the PS2, but didn't try it out until this year. Got the Switch version on sale a couple months ago and I'm really liking it. The only things I don't like are the slow opening and the slow camera movement, but that's about it. I'm about 10 hours in as of now. Also been playing Tetris 99 on occasion.

I played a bit of Nier: Automata at last.

Died at a boss like 20+ minutes in, found out I never saved, lol. Great. Cool.

I haven't been gaming much lately, but my sister and I finally started the original Resident Evil 4, which we've seen a million times but never actually played through ourselves. I'm interested in seeing how that goes, since we rarely play horror games (although RE4 is half action game, anyway). Haven't played much though, since my eyes have been sensitive lately and the TV screen agitates them.

I've also played some of Super Metroid on NSO (playing handheld is better for my eyes). I rarely play games older than the N64, so it's pretty neat playing an SNES game, and wow it doesn't feel 31 years old! lol Although I'm not going to say my experience isn't debilitated by the fact I'm not sure if I want to see it through to the end. I mean, I do, but the Baby Metroid makes me so sad. D:

@MarioVillager92
Okami's been on my list of games to play since I bought it for 5 dollars on PS3 a million years ago. lol People always acted like it was the best thing ever, but in the last few years, I started seeing people say it doesn't get good till hours and hours in, so I don't know what to think. XD I've definitely heard the beginning is slow (or the opening cutscene is very long?), but it makes me feel better seeing someone enjoy the game. I hope you continue to have a good time with it!

Started playing Deltarune chapter 3 on the switch 2. I loved the first two chapters and I can’t wait to see where things go next!

I am playing through Kirby TILT AND TUMBLE on NSO (GBC). It works so much better with the Switch 2. Never played it properly before on Switch. I love it. The weight of the switch 2 and precision actually seems to work better for this game. If they put Monkey Ball on NSO Gamecube, it would work very well.

In a shocking turn of events, one of the most acclaimed games of the past decade became really good after this.

@NeonPizza The HD Rumble in Splatterhouse is really great. The difference between hitting demons with a wooden bat or a metal pole is very satisfying. You're right it does breathe new life into it. I wish more of my shmups and arcade had rumble.

@Plusle_and_Minun Thanks! Yeah, the opening cutscene is pretty long, but once you're past it, it's pretty much smooth sailing. I like Zelda games and actually finished a few of them (I finished Tears of the Kingdom last year), so I got into Okami pretty easily.

Right now I'm in a Gamecube mood.

Just cleared the story mode of Star Fox: Assault. I still need to get all the Medals (particularly the silver ones to unlock Xevious) and Namco's Special Flags.

I'm also currently playing Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. I have no idea of the story, but there are these Magnus (card with essence of all objects in the world) that are called the End Magnus that will bring destruction to the world. It is your duty to get all five before the Empire (the antagonist group) does it. I've defeated two holders of these End Magnus, but the EMpire has gotten them (it is scrpted that way).
Once I beat the game, I promise I'll play Tales of Symphonia, which I recently got at the same time as Baten Kaitos. Unfotunately I don't have time for 2 simultaneous JRPG playthroughs.

Pac-Man World 2 also has my attention these days.

On the side I'm playing NBA Street V3 for fun.

I'm also awaiting for a copy of Fight Night Round 2 on the mail and I'm checking if I can get copies of SSX on Tour and Battalion Wars.

Just tried the demo for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 and OMG what a nostalgia rush. It was only 2 levels Foundry and College but once I jumped in to those levels I was hit with the memories. It was only free skate mind you but I remembered where all the objectives were so it was just mainly familiarizing myself with the controls. Hearing the sound track brought back memories too.

I so cant wait for the full game to drop. Iron Galaxy did another great job.

Was in the mood for an online FPS, so redownloaded Warface to my Switch again. I'm kind of surprised how well I was doing given I haven't touched this one in years. Even was the top player in one game.

Last night, experimented with Jagged Alliance on PC. The game has a thing where mercs don't get along, so I experimented by putting three mercs who hate each other on a team, and they complained. The next day, two of them left. Was fun to try.

Only really been playing mobile games, I already have the two I’m playing in my signature but I’ll go into detail with them:

Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! (Mobile) - I’ve still been playing this for nearly three years now and I’ve recently found myself playing songs on Master difficulty, mostly for fun initially, but it’s kind of gotten a bit addicting for me haha. I have played on Master before, but I only did it a few times and stopped, in fact, the last time I played on that difficulty was two years ago. I tend to play on Expert, which is the second hardest difficulty in the game, but I had a lot of unlocked Master charts I barely played.

I’ve so far, if I remember, full combo’d maybe around 13 songs on Master difficulty, and gotten some new achievements for doing so. I don’t know if I’ll keep playing on Master for a long time, since I found my fingers get shaky and my timing is delayed, and I find that for some reason my timing and game skills get increasingly worse if I play on a higher difficulty for too long. I have also gotten some new cards from the gacha since they have an anniversary gacha going on and are giving out free tickets to draw. I usually don’t draw from gacha’s unless they’re free and require no crystals to draw, or if its a birthday gacha for a specific character. I’ve gotten maybe three-four new cards, one being a 4-star, though I’m unsure if I’ll use them since I already have a team with three 4-star cards and two 3-star cards that are all high leveled, and trained to their highest level and mastery.

Happy Tree Friends: Deadeye Derby (Mobile) - I only downloaded this last week, and decided to try it out of curiosity since I’ve been watching a bit of the show it’s based on, as well as owning another HTF game on the Xbox. I read a bit about this one, and I randomly assumed it was delisted because of how old it was, but to my shock it was still up so I downloaded it and have been playing it.

This one is pretty fun, and the gameplay is pretty simple and easy to learn! Something I found interesting is that the game incorporates gyro aiming in its gameplay, and you have to constantly move your phone around to keep up with your opponent and shoot at them, which I think is what makes the game even more fun. There is also a bit of challenge later on, mainly coming from the inclusion of obstacles in later levels that either block your shots or obstruct your view.

For a game that’s a decade old, I’m also surprised that it has an active playerbase. I actually got put into matches a few seconds after starting to search for one, and I have a whole lot of fun playing with others live. I assumed it would’ve had a dead playerbase, but it makes me really happy when kind of old games still have active players, plus this game would’ve been downright unplayable if it didn’t! I have won most matches, but I got embarrassingly trashed at least twice when playing haha.

There are four locations in the game, each with their bosses and their own attacks and gimmicks, and by completing each level, you unlock a character. So far, I’ve unlocked four of six of the game’s base characters and beaten two of four bosses (Sniffles and Lifty & Shifty). I have two more bosses left, though I don’t plan on immediately progressing because I struggled a bit with Lifty & Shifty. In fact, I died the first time battling them and nearly died the second time, but it mainly comes from me progressing too fast without building up enough coins to use to upgrade my slingshot and vehicle, not buying strong ammo, using my healing kits too early, and not using the right character to increase healing.

I plan on playing in stages I already completed to get more coins to upgrade my weapon and vehicle so I’m better prepared for the next boss, albeit I read in a review that it’s easy to win against all of them by simply outlasting them by using healing kits, so I may build up on those too, and I have the urge to purchase a premium character to help me with the bosses, but I’m not sure yet. It’s a pretty fun game, but my only criticisms is that the performance sort of slows down when you sometimes make shots, and some of the upgrades being really expensive and requiring grinding to get them.

Played some Disney Speedstorm last night for some online races, but really posting because I actually played an upcoming game during Steam's Next Fest yesterday. I played Discounty.

From what I played, I really like it so far. You play as someone who moves to a town, and is tasked with running a discount grocery store. Store management is part of the game, the bigger part of the game is to go around town during your off-hours, talk to others, try to get stuff to sell in your store. There seems to be stuff going on in town too, and it feels like it adds to the story so the game is more than just managing a store. So far I like it.

Actual spoiler stuff:
While exploring town there was a truck investigating something. There was also a downed tree and someone just wishing to get back home.

Looking forward to it, I might grab this one on GOG (trailer has a GOG logo in it) or even on Switch (it's coming to Switch too). Since it's coming to Switch, thought I'd put my thoughts here. I'm surprised this game isn't mentioned on Nintendo Life yet.

After many years in the collection I am about to start playing Steel Diver on my 3DS. I really like the lenticular cover and I’m looking forward to reading the manual before I submerge myself.

The Wii U was misunderstood by almost everyone.

Been playing Disney Speedstorm, they're having a Cinderella event, where playing as Ariel in multiplayer races earns points towards rewards. Playing I forgotten how fast Ariel is, and then I'm reminded they nerfed her speed powerup, where she collects thingamabobs for increasing speed.

Now I realize we live in a timeline where they nerfed the little mermaid.

Been playing Fallout London on PC. So far I am really enjoying and is probably the best Fallout game I have played since New Vegas. I like the changes they made to things to conincide with the English setting such as making the Pipboy an Attaboy and the fact that there is no Power Armor as that was a US thing.

Overall the team did a great job on this mod and is a must play for fans of the Fallout series.

More Jagged Alliance tonight, I had a 3 vs. 1 situation in the game tonight. An enemy came out of a building, only to be met by three members of my team. The enemy never stood a chance.

I love the turn-based combat this PC classic has. Good tactical strategy stuff.

I finished Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition a few days ago and I definitely plan to return to it for more post-game. However, I decided to put the post-game stuff on hold because I was really excited to start playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I'm currently about 3-4 hours in, and oh my god, what a gorgeous game. It's really off to a strong start, and I can't wait to keep playing. This has the potential to be one of my favorite games of all time.

Add me on switch if you like Xenoblade :)
