I also just can't stand Nintendo Youtubers. They feed into the Ouroboros that is the "Nintendo leaker" culture. They spread around false leaks as if they're gospel, which in turn causes people who follow these youtubers blindly to believe these leaks, and then when said leaks turn out to be fake, people go after Nintendo and yell at the company for it, instead of holding the fake leaker accountable for their actions. The clickbait of these Youtubers (Switchforce, RGT85, Beatemups, etc.) is abhorrent, and I don't get how they genuinely get away with this sort of thing. Putting their ugly mugs in the thumbnails of the videos next to an image that's not real, with a title reading "I can't believe this big game is coming to switch!" or "Switch Pro release date!". The one channel I can't stand is SwitchForce though, given how outright obnoxious that guy is. He's the type of person I think of when I think of content like this.
At times, seeing how there's not many good Nintendo news channels, I wanted to make my own channel. Maybe I'll actually follow through on it, seeing how most other Nintendo Youtubers outright irk me.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
There's only a couple of YouTubers I watch because I too am tired of the endless speculations.
I'm still subscribed to Nintendo Life, Good Vibes Gaming and Arlo for the moment, that's it.
@Buizel@VoidofLight@Fizza I agree with this. I remember my friend has a friend after he moved, who would only watch Directs to see the new Smash characters that got leaked, only to find out nothing got revealed or it was false and get angry over it. My friend and I we usually go into it without expectations and we're rarely disappointed. My friend's friend, always listened to YouTube leakers.
I love how YouTube does have some good gaming content, but hate when people clickbait and make claims without evidence because someone "leaked" it, it's how rumors start. My rule of thumb, unless Nintendo or a third party publisher mentions it officially, it's not confirmed. Just look at all the Switch Pro rumors that spun out of control.
I don't mind good gaming content that's well done, but some gaming YouTubers clickbait, spread rumors, or say the same opinions making certain gaming viewpoints predictable, rather than giving a more personal take on it.
With presentations like Direct and similar ones, I go in not anticipating anything, and usually I have a few announcements that make me happy.

I've no problem with speculation. Anyone who's been watching how Nintendo operate for a while can make some pretty good educated guesses as to what they'll do next and it can be a worthwhile exercise to compare notes with others attempting to do the same.
It's just that this often gets dressed up as leaks or inside information by wannabe e-celebs. They're just playing the same game as the rest of us, so ignore them.
@Matt_Barber I think speculation is fine as it adds to discussion and can be fun. More or less, I mean the YouTubers who treat rumors and speculation as fact, report on it like it's news, and then get angry when said speculation isn't true. Not to mention the many who follow and believe such as true (like my friend's friend with Smash reveals not being true because he listened to YouTubers for example).
A more recent example could be the whole Zelda Wind Waker and Twilight Princess remasters, I remember seeing someone on YouTube report on it.

Splatoon is one of the worst game franchises ever made It is not appealing visually and the gameplay is dumb.
I may adore Splatoon (it's overtaken Mario as my favourite in-house Nintendo series for crying out loud!) but I can definitely see why it wouldn't grab someone. The aesthetic is as bold as you could possibly get, to say the music is an acquired taste would be an understatement and the gameplay is very much dependent on whether you can vibe with it or not (if you can't well....you're basically **** out of luck). There are plenty of other Nintendo franchises/series that tons of people like that I just can't get into myself (with Metroid being the....well, Prime example) so I understand the feeling all too well

Oh yeah definitely, believe it or not but I used to dislike splatoon, 2 just, was ok to me, and felt clunky to me! But that was because of how different it was from other shooters I have played But 3, oh boy for me, is just everything ai learned to love about 2, but just 100 times better.
Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

@Snatcher
They are similar in some way.
They are same shooter games, both in 3rd person view.
The difference are Ratchet & Clank games have proper voiceover while Splatoon was like semi gibberish voices.
Ratchet & Clank games have a lot of weapons variety that more appealing to me than Splatoon with their ink weapons.
Ratchet & Clank games have some interesting storyline while Splatoon.... didn't really have interesting storyline.
I prefer Ratchet & Clank games for being not as popular as Splatoon since I prefer something less popular than the over popular things.
Hidden gems are more appealing to me than the popular mainstream things.
I don't know but my brain and body translate the world in opposite way.
@StarPoint
I have ever watched Splatoon gameplay in Story mode from Youtube (solo gameplay) and it looked pretty similar as Ratchet & Clank style games, a 3rd person view shooter games in 3D platforming world.
@Anti-Matter You just told me there similar in some way wile pointing out all its differences, thanks for proving my point.
One is a platformer, the other is a terf shooter, there not the same.
And btw, ratchet and clank is just as if not a more popular franchise then splatoon, so idk what your talking about. And ratchet and clank is far from a hidden gem.
